What do ice cream and Sadie Montgomery have in common? They're both ice cold, but one taste is never enough.
I wanted to be friends — I would have even settled for her seeing me as anything but a nerd — but there was no getting through. So just like any hard-headed, red-blooded man out there, I made up my mind.
I’d make my coworker fall for me.
I’d like to say it was simple, but like every other epic love story, all it took was one drunken night and a lot of naked courage to get the girl. For a moment, at least.
Love with a coworker is never simple, especially since Sadie’s trying to keep us on the low. Not to mention her persistent ex-boyfriend who won’t leave her alone. But I’ve never been good at giving up, and I don’t plan to start now.
The whole thing is a recipe for a rocky road, but I plan to eat the whole gallon, no matter how bad the brain freeze.

My Review:

Other than a few slight issues, as usual I adored this story from Meghan Quinn. First of all I want my own Andrew, sigh. Secondly, all the things Quinn puts in her books always there is something that I can’t stop thinking and laughing about. For instance the nickname, Sturdy Tits, a mistaken comment Andrew made to Sadie during their first work encounter. All the characters were so much fun, again, a normal part of any Meghan Quinn book I’ve ever read. It had sexy parts and funny parts and emotional parts. The tiny issues I had were a bit too much slut shaming of one character, and then I wasn’t thrilled with what Andrew told Sadie when they had their big “final” break up, even if it was true, it wasn’t fair in some ways how he said it. Also, the audio was okay, I’m not a fan of that male narrator overall though. His voice makes me think of a creepy old guy kind of, but more than that, at times he would kind of get really quiet and I’d have to turn my volume up on his parts.

Lyla Wilder is done being the shy, chemistry nerd extraordinaire. While every other college student is out having fun, Lyla is studying. With her cat. Well, she's played it "safe" quite enough, thank you. So she creates a "College Bucket List"―with item #7 being a night of uninhibited, mind-blowing sex...
But she needs some help from her man-whore best friend.
Hockey player Beck Davenport thought Lyla's transformation would be subtle. Man, was he wrong. With every item she ticks off, Beck finds himself growing seriously hot for his sweet, brainiac best friend. And if he's not careful, he'll end up risking their friendship in order to convince Lyla that he might just be her lucky #7...

My Review:

I’ve only read one other book by this author, and it was a YA paranormal or fantasy, but I loved it so much I’ve been waiting to read another. I fit this shorter audiobook in at the end of April to try to finish one more before the end of the month. This one was pretty good too! I’m working on being more understanding when characters act different than I think they would, because I realize different people would act differently in real life, so why do I expect fictional characters not to be different from me? I loved the story and the characters. I didn’t realize it was a series, I might have to get ahold of the others. I liked the female narrator, I mean Andi Arndt is one of my favorites. I wasn’t a huge fan of the male narrator, but was used to him I guess by the end.
