Once again I’ll be linking this up with the Sunday Post (hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer) and with Stacking the Shelves (hosted by Reading Reality).
As of this being posted I am officially on spring break, FINALLY!!! In fact today, Sunday, I’m driving down to my quiet little writing retreat/reading getaway in Branson for the next week.
It sounds as if at this point I have no idea when I’ll be getting my assistant back. Ugh. So this past week, yeah, another blech week on that hand.
Monday alone at work of course. I got home and was excited to get started using my exercise bike. But the seat adjusting lever seemed to be wrong, because I couldn’t get the seat to stay anywhere other than all the way close to the front. And I’m short, but not quite that short. I tried to fix it myself, but it really doesn’t even look like the one in the picture in the instruction manual. Now I paid to have someone come put it together, so I’m kind of ticked that I’m still going to have to figure this out.
Tuesday, another day alone. And, a bunch of teachers were gone, so on Tuesdays and Wednesdays we have advisory time, and all but 3 teachers have advisories, or should I say two teachers and me. So guess who had to fill in for one of those teachers! Plus then we found out that we needed to start sending “grades” or projected fails and Ds to parents of seniors and they wanted the info by Thursday. So another busy day on Tuesday.
Wednesday was a busy day. I walked in to find another leak in my office, so I had to move a bunch of classroom sets of books, and that was not fun because the textbook room in the back is pretty close to full. I had to cover another class during advisory, but it was one that was located in my library anyway, so that was easy enough.
Thursday they had the blood drive in the library, so basically I sat and did what work I could in my library.
Friday we had several small groups come in for a quiet place to test. My TA did not show up, although I was told I have one now during one hour of the day. I went to see the new movie The Lost City on Friday night and I loved it! And then I watched one episode of the new Bridgerton season.
Saturday was spent getting ready for going to Branson on Sunday for the week. I dropped the dogs off on Saturday night, so I could just leave on Sunday ready to go. Packing was harder because I want to do some writing, but I am not sure if I want to continue editing one book, plotting out another one, or finishing one of two other 3/4 done novels. So I have a big tote bag filled with all of them!
Books finished
The first three were for blog tours this past week. The audiobook will get a review later with some other audiobooks I still need to review. The 5th one was an ARC I had that I posted my review on Saturday. The last one is the surprise e-galley that I read for the author, and now will be reviewing tomorrow probably!
New Additions to My Library
ARCs:

A surprise ARC, not sure, think I might have requested it through the Shelf Awareness newsletter? But definitely excited to read this one! Even though we all know how I do with short story collections, this one just sounded too much fun to pass up!
Audiobooks:

The author mentioned this was free on Authors Direct in audiobook right now, so I went ahead and downloaded it!
Bookish Stuff:
I got some cool stickers from Jennifer Lynn Armentrout’s store. I also ordered a t-shirt in honor of the new season of Bridgerton that started this weekend.
E-galleys:
Excited to read the new Kylie Scott book for a blog tour next month. The second and third are new SmartyPants Romance books coming out next month! So be watching for those reviews! The fourth one is for a review in April, and the last one was supposed to be a surprise, but then it started being talked about all over by the author, so I’m sharing that I got it to read and should be posting my review either later today or tomorrow. The last book is for a review towards the end of April.
Free E-books:
I know that one was from Prolific Works, not sure about the other one.
Physical books:

This was what I got from trading the copy of Husband Material over on Twitter.
What I’m Watching
Continuing again with both The Underground Railroad and Outlander. I started the first episode of For All Mankind. My free year of Apple TV from buying my laptop last year expired, but I decided to pay for a month and went to see what else I might want to watch. This was the first thing, and it was very interesting so far.
I had to go see the new Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum, The Lost City, because the premise reminded me of a favorite movie from when I was a lot younger, Romancing the Stone. I ended up adoring this new one! Now there was one line from Sandra Bullock, who is a romance author, that totally was criticizing romance books. But then Channing Tatum’s character had the perfect comeback. Not to mention at the beginning when Bullock’s character’s agent talked about how romance is actually one of the highest grossing genres. Also, I knew Brad Pitt was going to be in the movie, but there was a bit of an early surprise with him, kind of reminded me of a surprise event in the movie Deep Blue Sea, if you know, you know what I mean. There is an extra scene in the credits with this, so be sure to wait a bit if you go see it!
I also started the new season of Bridgerton. So far I’m kind of underwhelmed. The scenery and costumes are as beautiful as ever. And yeah, I know this season is supposed to be more smoulder than sexy times, but the acting at times is almost a little stiff for me. And where are Anthony’s sideburns? I hated them, but he looks different without them. But I’m still in it to watch the whole season!

How was your week? Did you read or watch anything good? Get any good books?
I hope you enjoy your Spring Break! 🙂 I had Spring Break a few weeks ago and it was so nice. I hope you get a lot of reading done. Enjoy your week!
Just got to the little condo and so far it looks exactly like what we thought it would from the pictures. Thanks for stopping by!
I’m sorry for the busy and unhelpful week at school. YAY for the spring break and reading/ writing week. I hope you have an amazing week with really nice weather too.

Yes, looking forward to a relaxing week no matter what I get done. Thanks for visiting!
Yay for Spring Break! Enjoy!
So far so good, the place we are staying seems perfect!
Enjoy your holiday, it is even more deserved after such a busy week at work. Happy reading!
Thanks! Already so happy to be here!
I hope you have a wonderful spring break (and work out your bike seat issue too). You scored something great with your ARC trades. I love Center’s books, and I hope you do too
This will be my first book by Center, so looking forward to it! Thanks for stopping by!
Spring Break!! I hope you enjoy it all. I agree with you about Bridgerton, but I can just watch the scenery and the dresses and be happy.
Yeah, I’m still enjoying it, just don’t think it is as good as the first season. 🙂
I hope you have a wonderful vacation and get lots of writing done!
No writing done so far, but I’ve only been here since last night. I don’t plan to necessarily leave the condo again until tomorrow, so today should be a writing/editing day. If I don’t get any done, as long as I get some relaxing this week, that’ll be good too.
Sorry to hear it was busy, but at least you’ve got a break coming! That’s gotta be nice!
Nice new reads! Those are new to me ones but I hope you enjoy them all! Happy Reading!
Here’s my Monday Wrap-up
Have a GREAT day!

Sounds like you had a great week. Did you enjoy Bridgerton S2?
My thoughts on Bridgerton are up and and down. I don’t like it as much as the first seasons, but I am enjoying it still!
Hope you have a great retreat!!
Thanks! Not a ton of writing done so far, but some editing and reading and relaxing. 🙂

I was supposed to last Friday with friends but then one of my friends had to book a last minute trip to NY on Saturday am to go to her mother-in-laws funeral and then this Friday I have a funeral to go to so yeah maybe the week after we’ll all be free and in a happy mood to go, fingers crossed. Can’t wait to hear about your vacation!
