The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted  @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s
a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog,
showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is
coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here:

Last Week on the Blog:

So I made it all the way through the A to Z Challenge!  Yay!  I’m kinda glad to be done though.  Back to my normal blogging, and being able to do some of my regular meme type posts again.  Besides those mini-reviews, I still got two other reviews done during the week.  I did not get any post done last Sunday though, so today’s Stacking the Shelves is probably going to be pretty long!

This Week on the Blog:

  • Review:  A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
  • Book Blitz:  Halfway Perfect by Julie Cross and Mark Perini
  • Cover Reveal:  Diamonds are Forever by Michelle Madow
  • Waiting on Wednesday
  • Book Blitz:  Ghosts of July by Megan Applegate
  • Possible Reviews:  Ice Kissed (Kanin Chronicles #2) by Amanda Hocking or Cleo by Lucy Coats

A pretty busy week coming up!  There’s actually one other egalley I might try to get read this week, but haven’t decided which egalley sounds best yet.  I’ve got to get some reading done and I’m really trying to get all my Netgalley books read on time. But since I download them to my Kindle app, and they never really expire that way, it’s hard to not jump ahead to the Edelweiss galleys that will expire. So the books I read this week may change due to that.

My Fit/Walking Goal
Well, last week was not good.  I had a few days where I got 10,000 steps in, but it was only because of working at the bookstore.  I just didn’t get out to walk as much as I’d have liked to.  One nice thing, at our Wednesday afternoon professional development meeting this past week, we got to go outside and so I got a mile walked around the school track that day.  I did learn that maybe I’ll just bring my walking clothes and get my walking in at school before I head home, so that I don’t have the excuses to not walk once I get home.  I also found a Run, Walk, Run program I might try to see if maybe at some point I can get to running.  I don’t know how I’ll get 20 miles a week in during the school year right now, just too many things going on.  But I’d like to try to at least get out and walk for at least a half hour 3 days a week.

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.
It is a way for us to share the new books we have collected.  Now, keep in mind that what I list below is for the last two weeks.  So it is a lot!

E-galleys:

All but the last two are from Edelweiss.  The last two come from Netgalley.  I’ve got to hurry up and read my ARC of The Messenger of Fear by Michael Grant so that I can read my egalley of The Tattooed Heart.  Very excited about all of these!
Physical Books:
The first one is a stripped cover from the bookstore where I work.  The second one was an unsolicited ARC from the publisher, Sourcebooks.  The last one is an ARC that I won from Brittany at Brittany’s Book Rambles
Free e-books:
All free.  Will see when or if I get to them!
So, whew!  Too many added, who knows when I’ll ever get to them!!  But they’re there in case I get in the mood to read them.  What did you add to your shelves this week?
Now I’m off to walk today.  I’ll be back to go comment on other blogs later today!

  1. Ooo! I also picked up a lot of the Harper eARCs. The Cage, A Madness So Discreet – not The White Rose though, I didn't like The Jewel 😀 Dangerous Lies I got as well – loved Black Ice! I got Silver in the Blood from Bloomsbury, it seems a bit Middle Grade ish, doesn't it? In any case, I hope you enjoy all of your new books!

    Have a fabulous weekend 🙂

    Check out my STS post!

    • So many added this week! I think I forgot one or two as well. Oh well. I liked The Jewel, so can't wait for the sequel. I also loved Black Ice even though I didn't think I was going to at first. Silver in the Blood does seem middle grade, but it sounds good enough that I'll give it a try. Thanks for visiting!

  2. I've been really curious about Undertow, the concept is cool and I saw it at the bookstore and wondered. I may have to get it.

    Have a nice week.

    • I just love the cover of A Madness So Discreet so had to get it. I've not read that author yet, but her other series intrigues me. Thanks for visiting!

    • You are so right about that! My schedule is way too full! I need to stop requesting books, but I want to read them all! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Oh my that's a lot of books coming in for two weeks even! I think I would panic!! It is difficult to keep up exercise when walking, although it's great when it can be fitted in to the work day!

  4. Glad you finish you A-Z! it definitely looks like a pretty busy week coming up! Thanks for the free e-books tip! got them all 🙂 Have a great week!

  5. Future Perfect is one I've got my eye on. I am really interested to read the author's take on weight loss surgery and body image. The Jessica Day George book also looks good. I've enjoyed some of her fairy tale retellings in the past.

I wish e-galleys didn't expire. I hate when I download something and then don't get a chance to read it before it expires. I usually try to just read ARCs that go to my Kindle so I don't have that issue. I am behind on reading and reviewing though. I keep track on a spreadsheet and I haven't been keeping up very well 🙁

    • I always enjoy weight issue books because I know how much I struggle with it myself. I haven't figured out how to do Kindle galleys from Edelweiss yet, so I always have to worry about those expiring. I have a little notebook I've turned into a type of calendar that I keep track in. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!

  6. Nice assortment of books. I got a couple of them too. They won't show up on my StS until next week though. I just asked for Silver in the Blood and hope I'm approved. Happy reading!

    • While I love the idea of a read-along, I just can't always get on other people's schedules for reading, messes me up. Thanks for returning the stop!
