As usual this one is the hardest for me to do! And without a lot of time to go through and sort by romance vs. YA titles, I just have 10. I did keep out any audiobooks since they get their own top 10 later this week though. No particular order on these! Links to each review below the covers.
I’d been wanting to read this one since it came out. But it wasn’t until the publisher offered me an ARC of a sequel coming out this year that I got around to reading it. But oh, this book, wow. It was exactly the type of read I thought it would be. Had me crying and feeling all the feels as well as commiserating with the MC as I also had my own experience somewhat like this. HERE is my review. And if you’re interested, the review of the sequel, The Way I Am Now is HERE.
One of the spring releases in the SmartyPants Romance line, this one blew me away. It was so good I had trouble writing a review because there was so much I loved about it I just wanted to gush! If you want to read my review you can go HERE.
I’ve wanted to read something by this author for a while. The publisher sent me this copy and I loved it so much! You can read my review of this one HERE.
Now I love this author, and I don’t know if it was just because I read it right around the time of my own visit to Scotland, but it was one of my favorites of the year! You can read my review HERE.
This is one that kept me reading and not wanting to go back to work or to bed when I would have to put it down to do those things. Check out my review of this one HERE.
Another title from the spring SmartyPants releases that I loved. All the ones by Aly Stiles in this series have been so good! Funny, and just perfect. You can read my review of this one HERE.
Another great read from Susannah Nix on my Top 10 list. This one was part of the fall SmartyPants releases. I didn’t start this series when it first started, so need to go back and read one of them I think, but this one was so good! HERE is my review.
This was the perfect prequel type of story I didn’t know I was waiting for. Getting Violet and Buck’s parents’ story was perfect. And it was written exactly how I would expect a story for characters in this world to be written. You can check out my review HERE.
I loved Beth Revis’s books that I’ve read in the past. And this one sounded really good, but sometimes fantasy like this doesn’t work for me. I was so wrong in this case, and am so glad the publisher sent me this copy! Now just have my fingers crossed I’ll get an ARC of the second one as well. HERE is my review of this one.
It felt like it had been a while since I’d read much from Kylie Scott other than any time I reread bits and pieces of her Stage Dive series (Mal Ericson is MINE!) But this story was such a wonderful dive back into her writing and even with the much different cover than her normal hot guys, I prefer this kind really, it was perfect in every way! HERE is my review.
Final Thoughts

This is a hard list to put together! I’m very interested in Night of the Witch😁
Yes! It is always so hard to do!
I enjoyed End of Story. I have a few of the others I am sure. Thanks so much for sharing with us Lisa! I know it is so so hard to narrow it to 10.
Definitely hard, but I tried if I had it on another list maybe it didn’t make this one too.
I haven’t read any of these, but they all sounds like you enjoyed them a lot :). I like seeing which books made your top 10 list.
It is always fun to see what everyone else read and loved!
I’ve read books by the authors, but not these specific books. Glad to see their more recent ones are solid gold, too. 🙂
And there are others I could have added, but did my best to narrow down.
Thanks for sharing your top 10 books Lisa! I haven’t read any of these yet but there looks like some good ones.
I enjoyed them!
I adored Kilt to Order and I am so excited to start her backlist in 2024.
I’ve loved all of her books I’ve read, but have a bunch on the backlist to read too!
What a great list! Thanks for sharing all of your favorites this year, I’ll definitely have to check these recommendations out! Wishing you all the best in the new year! 🙂

Thank you so much!
I remember reading The Way I Used to Be several years ago. Definitely a powerful story.
It was very emotional.
The Way I Used to Be was my favorite book the year it came out. It hit me hard and I completely understand the way it made you feel. I also read the sequel and I thought it was fitting. Hunting’s prequel was so special and perfect! It brought back so much and gave the series even more magic.
Yes! I love prequels, but Hunting’s was so perfect! And it fit the characters so perfectly!
