My Review:

As her books usually do, the latest from Armentrout blew me away.  The lengths that the author lets her characters go to, their suffering, their emotions, their connections, their daring, these are the reasons that Armentrout wins me over with each new book.   The evil characters hold back no punches, and our main character stands up for what she wants, as well as holding her own when she must go up against the evil or even against her own friends who don’t seem to believe in her the way they should.  I’d been waiting eagerly for this next installment after reading and loving the first one in this little mini-series, The Prince.  I really like Brighton, and it was so good to get her own book and see her go after her own revenge/vengeance for what happened to both her and her mother.

We learned a few things in this one, I won’t give them away, but they have to do with not only when Caden, the King, saved her life, but also what happened when he tried his last trick to convince her to stop going after her revenge.  I don’t know if Bri really figured it out yet, but it was left there as a clue for any reader to grasp onto and hold onto what it may lead to in the next novella, which, as always, I cannot wait for!
