My Review:
I’ve been interested in reading one of Rich Amooi’s books for awhile now, but just hadn’t gotten around to it. When I read the synopsis for this one, though, I knew it was one I needed to give a try.  And I was not disappointed!  In fact, I can’t wait to read more books by this author now!  I believe that Madam Love actually is a minor character in another book by the author, so I figure I’ll go back and start with that one.

The characters were great, I could totally see each of them as they were written.  Whenever they ended up together it was hilarious.  I love how the little coincidences ended up getting Lance and Emma together, or should I say Lance and Madam Love.  While I almost feel a bit of the same with how no one knew Superman and Clark Kent were the same person, I could let that go enough to get into the story and just fall in love.

I was in the story yelling at Emma so many times to just go ahead and tell Lance.  Even though I know that she really needed to win the bet in order to save her business, I didn’t really ever get the feeling from her that made her seem greedy or wrong about doing that.  It wasn’t on the top of her mind the whole time, and that’s why when at the end she mentioned it, I still wasn’t angry at her for what she had done.

I saw another reviewer mention that they knew who they wanted Madam Love to set them up with, and I laughed, because that is exactly how everyone came to her, asking for exactly what they wanted.  I’d just like to find a real Madam Love to tell me what three things I need to do in order to meet my soulmate.  At this point, I’m eager to find him no matter what he looks like or who he is!

This book was so good that I had trouble making myself stop reading and go to sleep, even when I had to get up the next morning.  I am so glad I was on summer break for this one, because I did stay up quite late on the nights I was reading it.
