This week I’m going to participate once again in Friday 56, sponsored by Freda’s Voice. Here are the rules:
Rules:
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader
*Find any sentence, (or few, just don’t spoil it) that grabs you.
*Post it.
*Add your (url) post below in Linky. Add the post url, not your blog url. It’s that simple.
So here is mine for this week:
“Cherry blossoms die as quickly as they bloom, so one must always come with the proper clothes and the proper attitude to admire their beauty before they pass away so quickly. The great writer Motojirou-san said it best: Sakura no ki no shita ni wa shitai ga umatte iru. (Dead bodies lie under the cherry tree.)“
While you’re here, don’t forget to enter into my September is for Sequels giveaway by clicking on the button below.

I keep seeing a lot about this book, but I just can't bring myself to read it. I think I'd end up disliking it. I do love that cover though. It's so mysterious.
I won it. I'll be putting it in the school library where I work, and probably reading it when it isn't checked out by one of the students. Thanks for stopping by!
Love the cover of this one. Thanks for stopping by proseandkahn.

No problem, thanks for returning the visit!
Great cover! I'll have to read the synopsis before deciding if this book is for me.
Here's the link to my Friday post: Beach House Memories.
It's a scary story I'm pretty sure. Thanks for stopping by!
So true… life is like a vapor. I love the graceful image of cherry blossoms but the crows/ravens look so spooky!!
It is a very beautiful quote, but I think the book is supposed to be scary! I actually haven't started it yet, so not sure.
What an eerie book cover! I'm reminded of the movie The Ring, which I had a dreadful experience with 🙁
Also, I tried to enter the giveaway but it looks like the registration timeline expired? I can't enter my blog :/
I think it might be a somewhat similar story, haven't started it yet though. Hmm, now I'm wondering about your experience.
For the giveaway there should be a rafflecopter to enter on. It's too late to enter for your own giveaway.
I've been curious about this one because of the title and the cover. I'm not sure what I think of the excerpt. A little more poetic than I was expecting I think. Not sure if that's a bad thing but it's definitely different!
I haven't actually started it yet, so imagine how surprised I was by this when I opened to page 56 and was expecting a scary story! Thanks for visiting!
Ooo I like. And I didn't know that cherry blossoms died so quickly, this makes me sad!
BTW are you loving Unmade? Please tell me that you're loving Unmade! 😀
Amber Elise @ Du Livre
I know! It was news to me as well. I am definitely loving Unmade so far! Want to read it so fast, but also don't want it to end! Thanks for visiting!
Very interesting… the cover is groovy too!
It is much more than I thought from the synopsis. I haven't started reading though, so we'll see! Thanks for stopping by!
This looks really good. So it is appropriate for teens? I'll look for it.
It is a teen book, so I would assume it is. Thanks for visiting!
Great 56!
Thanks! I thought it was quite the descriptive part, and so not what I was thinking it would be.
The title and cover caught my atttention. I'm still thinking whether I should read it though.
Here is my 56 – http://fuonlyknew.com/2014/09/05/the-friday-56-35-cursed-a-guardian-chronicles-novel-by-trakena-prevost/
I won it in a contest, and am looking forward to it! Thanks for visiting, and I'll be sure to visit back.
I hadn't heard of this but it's quite poetic. Probably not for me but interesting.
Thanks for stopping by!
The title of this is so scary!!! Hope you are enjoying it 🙂
I haven't started it yet. Just didn't have any good quotes on page 56 of what I was currently reading. Thanks for visiting!
The cover certainly is creepy! And the Japanese quote really put a different spin on it.
As I haven't started it yet, I was a bit surprised by the quote myself! Thanks for stopping by!
