Once again I’ll be linking this up with both Stacking the Shelves (hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality) and the Sunday Post (hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer).
So my spring break is over. Not that it was anything exciting. I did get my stimulus check and bought a new laptop. Right now I only have the one my job gives me, but they are okay with us using it for personal needs. However, with getting ready to start a new job next school year, I figured it was time to go ahead and get my own, and what better time than with the stimulus check? Although I did just decide to pay for half now and put the other half of the cost along with Apple Care onto the 12 month no interest finance from Nebraska Furniture Mart. I hope to pay it all off before then, but this way I have extra money in case of emergencies and didn’t spend it all on the laptop.
It’s basically the same as what my work laptop is, but it is the new model and has 512 GB. I got it started up, but need to transfer from my school laptop still the personal stuff.
Got my new couch this week as well!
I did a bunch of DoorDashing this weekend, even got a $42 tip!!! Plan to use it all for paying on my laptop right away. 🙂 Any way, it’s Sunday night, and it’s almost back to the real world, or the semi-real world, since we still don’t have students back for another two weeks.
Another week with only one new physical book, and it was a book I won from the awesome Nicole over at Feed Your Fiction for her 8th blogoversary!
I’ve wanted to read this author for a long time, so when I found out I won her giveaway, I decided now was the time to get the first of her books. Of course now I need to find the time to fit it in!
I got 5 e-galleys this past week:
I’m really excited about Fresh by Margot Wood. I remember her from the Epic Reads days and the fun videos she used to make where we all learned the “book shimmy”! I’m so excited to read her debut novel!
And I got 5 free e-books:
Last week’s posts:
Reviews: Marriage and Murder by Penny Reid, Holding You Close by Kennedy Fox, Street Smart by Aly Stiles, Heart Smart by Emma Lee Jayne, and List of Ten by Halli Gomez.
Promo posts: Cover reveal: Replay by Amy Daws, and Book Blitz with GIVEAWAY: It’s My Party by Whitney Dineen.
Weekly posts: Lisa’s Looking Forward To #101 – March 23rd and 30th, 2021
Discussion post: We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together or Series I Probably Won’t Finish
And don’t forget I’ve got two giveaways going on right now, my February Wrap-Up post and my Lisa’s Looking Forward To 100th post Giveaway.
How was your week? Did you get any new books?
I love your couch! And congrats on your new laptop. I don’t think we’ll be getting a stimulus check???
Oh no! No check? Yeah, I don’t think my mom and step-dad get one, or my brother and sister-in-law, except maybe for their kids? I’m enjoying my new couch, although remembering part of the reason I got the recliner I had before is because it was better for my back. Thanks for visiting!
I love the little doggy ramp!
LOL! That was the first thing that had to be put up so the dogs could get used to it.
Congrats on the laptop! And cool couch too. 🙂 That’s a pretty awesome DoorDash tip. I thought about doing DoorDash just for something to do and earn extra money… I’m still thinking about it.
So far DoorDash has been good. I’m a little concerned about doing my taxes next year, but there is an app that helps me keep track of mileage and all that for deductions. We’ll see! Thanks for stopping by!
Yay for a new laptop. I finally got a new one too, but I still need to finish getting it all set up and use it more than the old one. It’s good to have though! Love the new coach. And that’s an awesome DoorDash tip!

Yeah, I’ve still got to get all the stuff transferred from my old laptop over to the new one, so haven’t used it as much. But I need to do that! Thanks for visiting!
Oh wow, a $42 tip is amazing, go you! And I’m so happy you got a new computer and a gorgeous couch! Ohhhh I can’t wait to see what you think of Wallflower, it was so cute ♥.
It was so cute! I loved it! Thanks for stopping by!
