Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings to spotlight
and talk about the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read.
Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on
Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine. This week I’ve picked one that sounds like it could be unique. Here is the synopsis from Goodreads:
One year ago, Kitty’s boyfriend Nikki Bramley visited a psychic who told him he had no future. Now, he’s dead.
With the Bramley family grieving in separate corners of their home, Kitty sets out to find the psychic who read Nikki his fate. Instead she finds Roan, an enigmatic boy posing as a medium who belongs to the Life and Death Parade–a group of supposed charlatans that explore, and exploit, the thin veil between this world and the next. A group whose members include the psychic… and Kitty’s late mother.
Desperate to learn more about the group and their connection to Nikki, Kitty convinces Roan to return to the Bramley house with her and secures a position for him within the household. Roan quickly ingratiates himself with the Bramleys, and soon enough it seems like everyone is ready to move on. Kitty, however, increasingly suspects Roan knows more about Nikki than he’s letting on. And when they finally locate the Life and Death Parade, and the psychic who made that fateful prophecy to Nikki, Kitty uncovers a secret about Roan that changes everything.
From rising star Eliza Wass comes a sophisticated, mesmerizing meditation on the depths of grief and the magic of faith. After all, it only works if you believe it.
So, what do you think, does it sound like one you’d like to read? What book are you looking forward to this week?

I have stopped lusting after any Disney titles, because they hate me, but this one does sound pretty awesome. I have such a thing for grief books and I like the title mysticism in there too.
I wasn't always big to get the Disney titles, but have a connection there now, so am finding more to be interested in now. Thanks for stopping by!
Adding it to my TBR list. Thanks for sharing it!

Oh wow great pick Lisa, this is actually the first time I heard about this book and it most definitely is a book I would pick out. Now I am really intrigued and curious about it. I hope you enjoy it when you get the chance. Thank you so much for stopping by my CWW last week.
Thanks! I'm excited that the publisher actually reached out and is sending me an ARC as well. Thanks for returning the stop this week!
Wow..a story about psychic? Count me in!
Glad it sounds good to you! Thanks for visiting!
I hadn't heard of this book before, but it sounds like a pretty cool read! I really like the mystery element here, and as I am reading the Raven Boys series I am all into the pyschic reading kind of foreshadowing in my books lately.
Yeah, there aren't always that many psychic books out there. So I'm always interested in one. Thanks for stopping by!
