The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s
a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog,
showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is
coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme. I’ve got two weeks to share because with being in Colorado last weekend, I didn’t do a Sunday Post. So lots to share! Better get started!
Last two weeks on the blog:
- Reviews: Timely Death series by Shannon A. Thompson, Half-Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout, Before Jamaica Lane (On Dublin Street #3) by Samantha Young (audiobook), Empire of Dust (Blood of Gods and Royals #2) by Eleanor Herman (giveaway), Elementals 3: The Head of Medusa by Michelle Madow (giveaway)
- Waiting on Wednesday: Torn (A Wicked Saga #2) by Jennifer L. Armentrout, A World Without You by Beth Revis
- Cover Characteristic: Classrooms, Ladders
- Summer 2016 July Comment Challenge Sign-Up Post
- Discussion Post: Copy, Paste, Repeat – Or How Many Places Do You Post Your Reviews?
- Blog Tour and Giveaway: Black River Falls by Jeff Hirsch
- Top Ten Tuesday: Top 10 Authors I Still Need to Meet
- June End of Month Wrap-Up Post
It’s been a really busy last two weeks again. Of course I got to relax last weekend in Colorado, and I got some writing and reading, and some blogging done. Not that I’m any further along with my reviews! But, I’ve decided that for the next couple weeks I’m going to skip going in to work in my school library, and then use that time for blogging and writing. I may go to the library to do these things, so that my sweet little dogs, especially the male one, don’t bug me constantly to go outside every hour or less, and then I can get something done. Still not doing great with stopping buying books, or downloading free ebooks. I am still doing pretty well with not downloading egalleys.
Coming up this week on the blog:
- Reviews: Nash by Jay Crownover (audiobook), Girl in the Shadows by Gwenda Bond (blog tour), Map of Fates (Conspiracy of Us #2) by Maggie Hall (audiobook), Free/cheap e-book mini-reviews, The Raven King (Raven Boys series #4) by Maggie Stiefvater
- Waiting on Wednesday
- Cover Characteristic: Feathers
Looks like there will be lots of reviews this week! That means I have a lot to do, because actually not a single one of those reviews has been written yet! And I’m actually still not quite done with Girl in the Shadows, although I should be done with that today for sure. Some of the last reviews I’ve listed above, especially the ebook ones, may wait if I run out of time. And, I’ve been wanting to join into Swoon Thursday, maybe I’ll do that this week! Guess I’ll be spending lots of time at the library!
Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.
It is a way for us to share the new books we have collected. I guess the number of physical books isn’t too bad for two weeks worth. But the number of free or cheap ebooks? That is insane. But hey, free, right?
Physical books:
So I got two cool new bookmarks as you can see in the picture. And sitting on top of the pile are some adorable little post it notes that are the characters from Pride and Prejudice, and I bought them at the Barnes and Noble where I work. I sent some to my OTSP Secret Sister, but had to have some for myself they were too cute. All my physical books were purchased this week, but only the one on top, Fall from India Place (On Dublin Street #4) by Samantha Young, was full price. All the others were bargain, and the one on the bottom, The Forever of Ella and Micha by Jessica Sorensen, was $1 at the Dollar Tree store! The others are The Redemption of Callie and Kayden also by Jessica Sorensen, If You Leave and If You Stay by Courtney Cole, and Sharing You by Molly McAdams.

Enjoy all those lovely books, which are new to me. Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
So many of them to go through. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
Looking forward to your review on Girl in the Shadows! Haven't seen too many people reading it, so I'm very interested!
I really like it and am so ready to finish and find out how it ends! But then it is one of my favorite authors, so I'm sure I'll love it! Thanks for visiting!
I have The Society of Imaginary Friends also but haven't gotten around to reading it yet.
Yeah, just got it, so we'll see! Thanks for stopping by!
Wow! That's a lot of great books you got! Here’s my Sunday Post.
Too many! And who knows when or if I'll get to all of them. Thanks for visiting!
Good luck with the review writing, and enjoy the books (you got a ton)! Love finding the freebies! And have a nice 4th too.
I think I need to set up a plan to do one review every day until I get caught up. Plus whatever other blog posts I need to do that day, and commenting! Thanks for stopping by, and hope you have a great 4th as well!
So many great looking books, I hope you enjoy them. Have a great week!
I can't wait till I can get to some of them! Thanks for visiting!
Sounds like you've had a busy couple of weeks! All those book covers look wonderful. Enjoy them! Have a great week!
Hoping to make the next couple of weeks a little less busy. Thanks for stopping by!
WOW that is an incredible amount of ebooks. I always wonder how you find the time to read them, as you always seem to have so many! That's awesome. I hope you enjoy all of your new books, Lisa!
Thanks for visiting my blog! Have a great week. =)
Alyssa @ The Eater of Books!
Oh, I don't get them all read. There are tons sitting on my Nook waiting for me to maybe one day get to them. 🙂 Thanks for returning the visit!
My goodness that's an impressive haul of books and I'm amazed that most of them were free! I'm intrigued by The Society of Imaginary Friends – love the title and the cover, so I'll be interested to see what you make of it. Best of luck in getting those reviews written – I'm also more than a bit behind due to spending the last week transferring all my stuff across onto my new computer… Have a great week.
We'll see when I can get to these! I think I'm going to set a plan to try to write one review a day no matter what, until hopefully I'm caught up! Of course I'll have to keep up with commenting as well as other posts! Always something to put us behind on reviews it seems. But yay for the new computer! Thanks for stopping by!
Bad blood looks awesome!! I never saw that on Edelweiss. I will check it out for sure ;). And omg!!! All those free/cheap ebooks!!! I want!! Some of those look really, really good!! You are bad for my Kindle 😉
Have a great week escaping the pups (tee, hee)
It did sound really good! I was very excited when I saw it. My poor Nook is so full of ebooks that I may never get to some of them. 🙂 Thanks for the luck wishes, I love my dogs, but they sure make me crazy sometimes! 🙂 Have a great week, and thanks for visiting!
I loved The Coincidence of Callie & Kayden!! Hope you're enjoying the series as well!
I'll have to get the first one in the series because of finding the cheap ones. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
Wow! So many books! I hope you enjoy them all, book buying ban be damned!
Yeah, I can't really set one of those bans. They never last. 🙂
The reading workout bookmark is so funny and SO TRUE!! Reading in bed is tough on the arms. I'm glad you had a good time in Colorado. I got a lot of reviews written/scheduled today but I still have a bit to go – maybe I can finish those up in the next couple days.

I love bookmarks so much, but I never use them. 🙂 Thanks for visiting!
You've had a really busy week, but I hope you're able to catch up all you want to catch up on this coming week! I really like the look of those all freebies. Looks like a lot of NA and romance novels for you to enjoy 😉
Yeah, I've really been into the romance ebooks for free, they're quick reads. Thanks for stopping by!
