Feature and Follow Friday is sponsored by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. The purpose of this event is to learn about the two featured bloggers each week, as well as to increase your own blog following by joining in on the fun! Here is this week’s question:
Q: What is your guilty pleasure as far as reading? Is it a genre, or is it a certain type of book?
First I have to say that after last night’s episode of Glee being about guilty pleasures, I LOVE this questions. But, this is a hard question, as I don’t feel guilty about anything I read really. I guess I could say it is the books that are published that go along with tv shows that I like. Such as the Supernatural tv show, or the SyFy show Eureka, to name a few. At one point I was on a mission to acquire every single book that was written with the Buffy the Vampire Slayer show, and I think I have most of them, that were still available to order online new. I also got as many of the books that went with the short-lived show The 4400, and those with The X-Files. So I guess my need to read any story that goes with my favorite shows would be my guilty pleasure.
What about you? Do you have any guilty pleasures?
You have a nice blog! I followed you back! 🙂
Thanks!
Ugh! I couldn't watch Glee last night because my television is doing this REALLY evil thing where the sound won't work on JUST THAT CHANNEL. Like, I can go to any other channel but the second I switch it to the channel Glee is on it's muted. Evil! I'll be watching it On Demand later though so I guess I'll survive.
Anywayssss, that's an interesting choice! I don't think I've ever read a book based on a television show. I guess I always assumed that if the show came first it wouldn't be good? I don't know. It's like books that come out after movies. It just seems odd to me. But maybe I should try it out! You don't know until you try, right?

The books that I like aren't usually based on an exact episode, they're usually different stories, like a whole new episode that we didn't see on tv, but get to read about. That's why I like them, you get to see more from that world that you love so much! Thanks for following!
I love your blog! I'm a new follower, found you via FF. 🙂

I'm not a big fan of TV show books, I want to read the graphic novels that came after my favorite series Firefly, but those continue on with the storyline (since the show was so short-lived).

I'm not a fan of graphic novels. But the tv show books I like because they can either continue the story, or else fill in new stories that could have happened in between the shows we saw. I love it with Supernatural because then you can see other cases and types of monsters and beasts the Winchester brothers have gone up against. Thanks for following!
Nice answer 😛 I like it.

Thanks for stopping by my FF as well! I do love the Supernatural books, most of them have really caught Dean's character enough that I laugh out loud just like I would when I'm watching the show!
Aw man… now I want to check them out more. lol. I love his character.
