Top Ten Tuesday: Hilarious/Punny Book Titles

Posted March 25, 2025 by Lisa Mandina in Top 10 / 12 Comments

I’m linking up with Top Ten Tuesday, which was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Check out upcoming Top Ten themes on Jana’s blog!

So Jana did this topic on a freebie week when I already had another freebie planned, so now I’m going to do this one on the next freebie. In fact I actually started this post when the last one happened so I could add titles as I found them and wouldn’t forget! I don’t read cozy mysteries, but so often those are the best titles for this topic. Lately romances have been having some of my favorites too though! I took out the ones that were punny song titles, and did a separate post for those. So many of these titles are going to be SmartyPants Romance titles I think too!

I mostly went with the punny titles, and as you can see, most are from the SmartyPants Romance series as I said above. A few others that came up after I thought I was finished were more Tara Sivec titles:

So, I know there are others, but these are the first that came to mind. They’re all ones I’ve read too, I didn’t pull any that I hadn’t read this time. Have you read any of these? Do you have an punny titles that have stood out to you?

  1. This one always comes to mind: Hold Me Closer, Toni Danzig by Laura Henry. And Susannah Nix has fun ones for her series with a family that makes ice cream. I’ve read My Cone and Only and Cream and Punishment.

It used to seem it was only the cozy mysteries which had the punny titles and I always wished I read those. But now with more rom-coms having them, I love it!

  2. Oh nice! I love a good punny title! I’ll have to remember this one for later as well! Although, it might be hard as I’ve only a handful of authors who have punny titles, but then they have a LOT of punny titles! Lol. Great picks!

I didn’t used to read a ton of punny titles as they seemed to be mostly cozy mysteries. But I love the rom-coms that seem to be doing that more.

Up to No Gouda sounds fun! That reminds me of a book I enjoyed called Gouda Friends and now I wish I’d included that one in my list. lol

I know, it’s crazy that I was able to do it without any, since those are where I usually find them.
