Audiobooks are usually easier to pick since I don’t listen to as many as I read. But I have a good list here!

So these are the top 9, the bottom 4 are all ones I listened to for the Gateway possible nominees and I loved them. My final choice for the top 10 is actually a whole series.

I loved the White Trash Zombie series so much! And I loved doing the read along with Anne over on Books of My Heart for this. I’m going to try to join into her first read along in 2025 even though they aren’t books I wanted to read as much as I had already wanted with the WTZ series.
Final Thoughts
Some of these might also fit into categories for either new to me author or maybe book boyfriend or cover love possibly. So keep your eyes open for them later this week maybe!
Have you listened to any of these books? What did you think of them? What is your favorite audiobook of the year? If you want to do this and link up, you can go to Books of My Heart and find the post for today’s topic!

I heard so many good things about Legends and Lattes, but despite liking the cozy fantasy genre, I still haven’t gotten to that one. Oh I remember your review for The Prince and the Apocalypse, that one sounded good. The White Trash Zombie series sounds good, but not sure if I would enjoy the zombie elements, I have read some of the book in the authors other series.
Honestly, there wasn’t a ton of zombie stuff, other than what she was dealing with, because she is basically like a normal person. I really liked Legends and Lattes, I need to go read the other one in the series too!
Great list. You adding to my TBR ^_^
That’s how we do it! lol
Thanks for joining us! You have some great picks here. Of course I also love the WTZ!
I need to get around and check everyone else’s posts out for the rest of the week!
I don’t really listen to audio but I did have a lot of fun with Starter Villain. I do need to start the White Trash Zombie series😁
I love almost all of John Scalzi’s audiobooks because he has Wil Wheaton narrate so many of them. And Wil Wheaton is such a good narrator. Yeah, the WTZ series was so much better than I even expected!
I love Cara Bastone’s books as well Lisa! Thanks for sharing your list.
They are fun and quick too!
I have heard such good things about John Scalzi’s books! I think I may need to read them. Lol.
I do love almost all of his books that I’ve listened to. One I did DNF, but it wasn’t exactly my type of normal read I think.
I’ve been hesitant about Legends and Lattes but I am seeing it on more and more top books of the year lists. I think I should probably give it a listen.
I was hesitant at first as well, as I don’t read a lot like that, but the audiobook really was good!
I’m going to try more audiobooks this year. I figured out they work well when I listen to them while I’m driving around.
Yeah, I pretty much only listen to audiobooks when I’m driving.
