Countdown to 2025 – Day 16: Turkey Dinner – eyes too big for your belly? A chunkster.

I’m participating in Lynn’s Books Countdown to 2025, at least a couple times this month! There are daily prompts as we count down the days to January 1st, 2025. Here’s what Lynn says about her countdown:

A short and sweet post to let you all know that once again I am doing my December Countdown where I tick off the days to the new year by spotlighting a book from the present one. This is a one per day prompt where I will literally post the prompt and the book I think fits the prompt. I’m hoping to use books read during 2024 where possible and use this as an opportunity to shine the light on some good reads. Books will be linked to reviews where possible or Goodreads. If you fancy joining me feel free to dip in and out. This is just a little fun and isn’t meant to be hard work. Starts on 1st December and concludes on 31st.

You can click here to see a list of daily prompts if you’d like to join in! I’ll try to link to my review if it is one I have already posted.

I’m going to pick a book I just got from a Kickstarter. It is actually more than one story, it is a whole series in one book, 5 different stories by 5 different authors. It is over 700 pages! So I can’t wait to start it, but am also a little bit nervous to pick it up.

Do you have any books you are excited for or bought this year that were a lot bigger than you expected, and so you haven’t started yet?

I’m going to have to majorly cut back on all book purchases next year. Excited for Karen Grey’s story for sure.

I figure since it is separate novels actually, I’ll do one at a time when I pick it up, and can put it down in between.

  1. With over 700 pages that sure is a long book. I don’t read a lot of very long books, but they can be great. And with this one having 5 different stories it makes sense why it got that long. I think the longest book I am read this year or actually am reading is Pets in Space 9, it was an anthology with 10 different stories and I often put it down between stories to read something else.
