Top Ten Tuesday: Books Involving Food (That are Not Cookbooks) and Tell Me Something Tuesday: How do you keep up with your favorite blogs?

Posted September 3, 2024 by Lisa Mandina in Top 10 / 14 Comments

I’m linking up with Top Ten Tuesday, which was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Check out upcoming Top Ten themes on Jana’s blog!

For me, I love finding the top 10 books that I can do a cover search, so I’m picking 10 books I’ve enjoyed with food on the cover, which often means it had yummy food in the story as well!

I just went through the books I’d read over the last 5 years and came up with these fun ones! What do you think of my covers? Have you read any of them? Do you have a favorite cover or story of your own that fits this topic?

Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post where bloggers discuss a wide range of topics from books and blogging to life in general, hosted by Jen at That’s What I’m Talking About. Weigh in and join the conversation by adding your thoughts in the comments. If you want to do your own post, grab the question and answer it on your blog. Feel free to leave your links in the comments if you are participating.

If you are interested in participating in TMST or receiving periodic emails that list the upcoming TMST topics and questions,  please fill out this GOOGLE FORM.  Participation is optional and never required.

Lately I have been trying my hardest to comment on blogs as much as possible. Of course school starting back this past month messed me up a little. But I like to get emails of posts if possible. And then I save those to a comment folder in my G-mail to go back to when I have time. I also will use links that commenters leave on my own posts. And then I do several different weekly or monthly posts and try to go comment on others from that as well.

  1. OOh nice picks! I feel like there’s a lot of contemporary or mysteries where this would be easy to do! I got about halfway through when I needed to start thinking creatively! Lol.

    Thanks for visiting my TTT!

Oh now that you mention mysteries, I completely forgot all the Diane Mott Davidson books I used to read and loved and were about a caterer, so always about food!

  2. I love reading about food, so I want to check out some of these. Legends and Lattes as well as Salt and Sugar are already on my wishlist. I like the cover for The Secret Recipe for Moving On.

  3. This was a fun prompt and I wish I did it. I love when books feature food, although then it makes me want to eat all the delicious food, lol! I keep up with blogs by adding them to my blog roll on my sidebar and it automatically lists the new posts there. Usually, I’ll have to do a catch up and read through several posts and comment in one sitting.

  4. Very cute. I’ve read a few Jackie Lau books that are food-centric. In general, I feel like I’ve read a few with bakeries, so primarily donuts, pies, etc. And I did read a cozy series set in an ice-cream shop. I’m sure that there are others…
