Top Ten Tuesday: Planes, Trains, and Automobiles – Books Featuring Travel in the Story or on the Cover

Posted August 13, 2024 by Lisa Mandina in Top 10 / 28 Comments

I’m linking up with Top Ten Tuesday, which was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Check out upcoming Top Ten themes on Jana’s blog!

Since I thought of a book or two right away when I saw this topic, I had to join in. Here are the 10 I’ve picked, and I chose with travel on the cover.

I just went through the books I’d read over the last 3 years and came up with these fun ones! Didn’t find any trains though. What do you think of my covers? Have you read any of them? Do you have a favorite cover of your own that fits this topic?

  1. What a fun theme. I remember we had something like that for one of the bingo squares a couple years back… I’ll have to suggest we add it again next year. Doing a quick look at my books from 2024, I read When I Come Around by Karen Grey and Hope Never Dies by Andrew Shaffer this year, both of which have cars on the covers.

  2. You found quite a lot of covers with planes, trains and automobiles on it. I couldn’t think of any of the top of my head, so it was fun to see some covers with those. And I realized I have seen that Jill Shalvis cover before. I also like you found one with a rocket on it!
