The topic is always characters, but I prefer to pick my top book boyfriends of the year. Here are the books they were in, and I’ve dropped a link below the covers as I noticed my covers yesterday were not linked like I thought. ๐
Personally I’m not a fan of older men, I prefer younger. However, Dean in With This Fling won me over.

I am a huge boy band fan, still go to every concert NKOTB plays in my town. So Tom from Smart Mouth definitely checked all my boxes!

Griffin, or Mitchell Mountainbottom, is a perfect book boyfriend, as he believes guys should read the romances their women are reading so they know what they can do to please their women. So he told us in A Borrowed Boyfriend.

Hamish was the perfect Scottish/sexy futball/soccer playing boyfriend in both the shorter novella Shopping for a Turkey and the full novel Shopping for a Highlander by Julia Kent.

While one of my all time favorite top book boyfriends is Nate from Samantha Young’s Before Jamaica Lane, it’s been a while since I’ve found one of her heroes I HAD to have. But Arran from Be With Me won me over.

Ryan, the math teacher who loved a good pun and was a bowling coach. Yeah, that’s definitely my type of guy in Spare Me by Tara Sivec.

And then there is Miller, who has cracked me up in every other book in Teagan Hunter’s Carolina Comets series. I was so happy he got his own story for me to love him even more with Scoring Chance.

I know everyone was complaining that Hazelwood’s series were all the same type of character, but for me, I really liked Ian in Below Zero.

I cannot believe I am saying this, but after some introduction in all the things that Bodhi does for his woman in Dashing Through the No, I might have fallen in love with the pot-smoking goofball. Such a big change for me who was always about the Just Say No.

And finally I’ll pick Cameron from the Book Smart story by Amanda Pennington. His humor totally kept me smiling.

Lisa, great take on characters! I might fight you for Ian. He was my favorite. But the biggest battle out there would probably be for Cletus, not that he would be easy to live with unless you were his love.
Yeah, I think we’d all fight for Cletus, but like you say, he might not be for us if aren’t Jen. ๐
I haven’t read that Teagan Hunter series, but I’m always on board for a hockey book boyfriend! ๐
Definitely a bunch of fun books!
I have slipped a few of your Tara Sivec book picks onto my wish list. Your bowling coach pun wielding math teacher really caught my eye.
A warning about her books, they are a little outrageous in some aspects! And some people don’t like that. But she has said that some of those crazy moments are actually from actual situations in her own life. I hope you enjoy they if you get a chance to try them!
I like Ian in Below Zero too. And I don’t mind that her heroes are all so similar.
Yeah, I am okay with authors that follow the formula. And I’m okay when authors change it up each time like Meghan Quinn. Call me easy. lol
I adored Tom and Miller! Great choices.
But you can’t have them, they’re mine, lol
