Top 10 of 2022 -Early Extra Post – Top 10 Books I Wish I’d Made Time to Read in 2022

Now technically the Books of My Heart version of this runs from the 19th-24th, but this is one topic that was always done in the Top 10 I’ve done in the past that wasn’t included, but I always enjoy doing, so I am adding my own day!

I have loved this author’s YA books, and she is a local author for where I live so I’ve gotten to meet her a couple times! I was sad I didn’t get the chance to get a copy of her adult book and fit this into my reading schedule this year. Especially as I saw a lot of good reviews for it! I’ll have to buy a copy to read in 2023!

Some day I hope I can get on Berkley’s list to get ARCs, because I wanted to read this one so bad. It’s another I hope to get a copy of this coming year. Especially as I see it is going to have a second book!

I love this author. I did not get an advanced copy of this, and so did not have time to fit it into my reading schedule when it came out. The publisher did send me a copy as part of the librar committee I’m on a month or so ago, but I still need to read it!

While I did end up purchasing this with an Audible credit a few months after it came out, I have yet to listen to it. And Christina Lauren’s books are usually ones I adore.

I enjoyed the other book I read by this author but haven’t gotten to read all of them, and this is one I wish I’d gotten my hands on in time to read for this holiday season!

This was one I included in my Top 10 most wanted to read last December, so I’m sad I did not get to it! While I got the e-galley of the first one in this series, I did not ever get around to requesting this one, so now I am behind.

I’m a little embarrassed to admit that I own Emily Henry’s first two books, but still haven’t read them. I quit Book of the Month Club for a while this year, and so didn’t get this one. Now I need to get it!

So this was another that was featured in my top 10 excited for list last year. Even though the publisher said they’d send me an ARC, I think the publicist I’d talked to had switched to another publisher and then I didn’t get one. I believe the ARC I got was through a books for trade deal on Twitter, a few months after it came out, and I haven’t had time to read it yet.

So, I loved this author’s first two books. And I was excited for this, but didn’t get a copy till right before it was coming out. And I couldn’t fit it into my review/reading schedule at the time. Must get to it this year though!

And this one, that I bought as soon as it came out, and then I didn’t read it. I must get it read this year, because, dachshund obviously!

Final Thoughts

So, tell me, did you read any of these this past year? If not, were they on your TBR as well? What books do you wish you’d made time to read this past year? The official Top 10 will start on Monday. If you’re interested in joining, here is the info:

I really enjoyed her YA books, so I need to get this one and read it too! I think your review is one that made me for sure I had to read it. Thanks for visiting!

  1. I’m listening to The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy right now and it is FABULOUS! I’m only about 25% in, but I’m addicted! I will need to check out this author’s YA stuff since you say it’s amazing. I hope you get to read it soon.

Her YA stuff is more fantasy/historical type of stories, which I think is a little different than what this adult story is. But I’m still wanting to read this! I need to just give in and buy it. Thanks for stopping by!
