Scoring Chance by Teagan Hunter is now live!

Scoring on the ice? Piece of cake.
Scoring off it? Well, there’s a reason I’m still a virgin.

I’m not entirely clueless with women, though I do tend to put my foot in my mouth around them far too often.

Like I did with Scout, the donut maker I stupidly introduced myself to despite visiting her truck for years.

Maybe my teammates have a reason to call me the dumb one, but I’m determined to prove them all wrong—Scout included.

I want to be her friend. Want her to see the real me.

What I’m not expecting is to like her so much when we start spending time together…or want to kiss her so badly.

I’m the jock, and she’s the bookworm.
On paper, we make no sense together.

But maybe I have a scoring chance with her after all.

My Review

I have loved Miller in all the other books in this series, so finally getting his book made me so happy! Up until now, since it wasn’t his story yet, we’ve just gotten all the hilarious interactions between him and his teammates. So in this story, not only did we get that, but we also got to be in his brain and see how it worked. And who would have ever guessed this guy was a virgin? I mean a virgin pro-hockey player? How does that happen? But I loved the way Miller’s story went.

And then Scout, it totally makes sense why she behaved the way she did. I mean the fact that she’d had a crush on him every time he’d come to her donut truck and then in the last book when he saw her dressed up at an event he acted like he didn’t know her. But he was really sorry, and he made up for his mistake. He definitely won her over, even it was annoying her until she gave in. And the annoying was in a fun, sweet, lovable way.

I loved Scout too. Her reason for not being able to write is so similar to the reason I think I have a writing block for ending my romances. A little different, but hers is because she had no romantic inspiration with no boyfriend or dates (that’s kind of my problem too). Not that she wanted them after what happened with her ex when her Pop died. I loved how it all worked out for them, the fun texts between them, the teasing, joking, and how all the steamy times built up.

Now it got going and I was loving it and so happy with their growing relationship, and I knew there had to be one more big thing to throw a wrench in the mix and I just didn’t want to know what it was! When it happened, I feel he got a little upset over something that wasn’t as big a deal, but then her reaction to what he said, yeah, that made sense. But I love how his teammates that we know and love from their own books before were there to be his sounding board and romantic instructors.

I’m excited to get Greer’s book next, pretty sure I know who his HEA will be based on things that happened in the epilogue of this book, and I kind of wondered or thought throughout the story that would be a great match too.
