Top 10 of 2021: Favorite Book Boyfriends

Top 10 of 2021 is hosted once again by Kimberly Faye Reads.

Technically the topic for today is supposed to be OTP or Favorite couple. But I have more fun listing my favorite book boyfriends from the year, so that’s what I’m sharing! And I might have to go over 10, we’ll see.

While the long hair doesn’t usually do it for me, I feel in love with Jonathan/Wrath in this debut author’s addition to the SmartyPants Romance Green Valley Public Library series. Read my review HERE.

So I’m a total wallflower myself. Always have been, probably always will be. And this book had the boy I would have been in love with in high school, if only there’d been a guy like him there. See what I thought about Dare in my review HERE.

So once again, the long hair is not a favorite of mine, but oh my gosh, I adored Joey! He cracked me up so much when we met him in the other books in this series, but this book put him on my top book boyfriend list. Go read my review HERE.

I love the teacher/school series that Meghan Quinn is writing. As a teacher/school librarian, so much is what I wish I could find myself. Especially Romeo. He was just what I wish I could find myself. Check out my review HERE.

One thing I always love about Emma Hart’s stories is the awesome banter. And this one was no let-down in that regard. I loved Colton’s humor, but I also loved how he took charge when it got to the sexy times! You can check out my review of this first book in this trilogy HERE.

I adored Eddie in this book. While he may not have been Jackie’s usually type, he would totally be mine. 🙂 You can read my review HERE.

While I kept thinking I wanted a Sheppard brother all through this series, it was Carter who made me say I wanted him specifically when I read his story. I mean the date where he took her to a bookstore? Can there be a more perfect date? Check out my review of this fun holiday story HERE.

Now Camden, the first Harris brother we met in this series will always be my favorite, but Zander Williams is probably going into second place after this book. I actually adore boys who have a little bit crude sense of humor, and Zander had that perfectly. You can check out my review HERE.

So this book hit pretty close to my online dating woes, maybe is part of what is setting me up to keep being disappointed. I loved the texting back and forth with Zach. The banter. Why can’t I find a guy to talk to in a dating app that the conversation can be even half as good as this? You can check out my review HERE.

These two books made me fall in love with Jackson James. I’d been hoping for him to get his own HEA, and Penny Reid did not disappoint in how she gave it to him. You can read my review of these two HERE and HERE.

Okay, some runners-up that I feel the need to share:

So in this case, it isn’t actually the character, but the cover model. I could just sit and stare at this cover all day. His eyes, he is dreamy, my perfect look kind of guy.

And technically Sam Heughan isn’t a “character” in a story, but I do adore him both when he plays James Fraser on Outlander, as well as just him being himself in this nonfiction journey story, it was fun hearing his voice and accent. You can read my review of this one HERE.

Now Cletus Winston isn’t a new book boyfriend, but since he did get another story all for himself, well and his woman of course, I have to include him as a runner up. You can check out my review of this fun, sexy, smart, cozy mystery HERE.

Final Thoughts:

Will I be fighting any of you for the rights to any of these book boyfriends? Did you discover any new book boyfriends this year that you want to talk about?
