I’m so close to having all my books I’ve read reviewed so that I can start 2022 with only those needing to be reviewed. However as I was doing one of my Top 10 of 2021 posts and wanting to link to a review of one of the books, I realized I had a few I should go ahead and do a post on now. When I get this done, I’ll have all reviews done for completed books up to this point, except for one that is a review tour next week.

Four years ago, my dreams were shattered in an instant.
Three months ago, I found something I haven’t had in years. Hope. That hope came in the form of a sexy, carefree hockey player named Brody Murphy. He swooped in and won me over with his big heart and the way he cared for me…and my girls. When they look at him, they see the father they’ve never had.
Now, my past and present are colliding and the outcome might just be too much for me to bear. Can I make the right decision when I’ve spent my whole life making the wrong ones?
My Review:
I loved the prologue on this one especially since it had been so long since I’d read the first one, back in 2017. I really liked this one. Although the one thing that made me so irritated was the whole not telling him a certain thing that totally would blow up, especially keeping it secret for so long. And her reasons for not telling Brody were dumb as well. Other than that I really liked the story. Loved Brody, loved all the characters really. I even am definitely excited about reading Viper’s story in other books by this author. So definitely a good read!

Press play on happily ever after in this charming, heartfelt holiday rom-com.
Nick Winters and Noel Carter have known each other their whole lives. After years of shared family holidays, working together on the Winters’ Christmas tree farm, and being each other's safe haven, they wouldn't dream of crossing the line from friends to something more....
But when Nick comes home for the holidays after serving overseas and finds that his long-term girlfriend has decided to get her stocking stuffed elsewhere, Noel is there to pick him up and show him that instead of a Blue Christmas he can still have a Wonderful Christmastime without his cheating ex.
A night on the town and an impulsive kiss later has Noel thinking that perhaps this year they’ll be rockin’ around the Christmas tree as a couple, but only if the ghost - er rather - girlfriend of Nick's Christmas past doesn’t decide to haunt their holiday....
My Review:
I had seen the paperback copy of this around a lot lately but when I saw it on Audible, I decided to give it a try and man am I happy I did! I loved it! And as cute as the paperback cover is, I LOVE the audiobook cover even more! This book was just about perfection. All the characters were so great! Not only the main characters, but all the side characters. While I felt at times that Noel was being a bit more stubborn that was necessary, I don’t have the same life experiences and tragedies, so who am I to say! I like that while the author gave chances where we might feel sorry and maybe understand the “mean girl” throughout the story, it wasn’t a quick fix, and by the end I don’t even know that I really had given her any more of a chance, although maybe she could earn it back. I adored the main couple, I adored their family, I loved all of this! Oh yeah, and I love Pike! I really would love to see him get his own HEA!!! I don’t know exactly which characters will get their own stories for this series. Although as I am listening to the second book, and it is Nick’s sister Merry, I’m guessing it will just be that family. I do know I’ve found a new author to look forward to books from!
I’m really close to finishing the second in this series and wanted to include it in a review with this, but I know I won’t be in the car enough to finish it before I have another free day to post a review, so I’ll share it probably next year!

Cozy up with this warm, festive rom com novella about being true to your heart, the friendships that define us, and the irresistible pull of holiday magic.
Last year, Rachel Bacharach met the man of her dreams at a Hanukkah party — and then her outgoing best friend Tamara swooped in and “called” Oz Caplan for herself. It’s a typical outcome for the dependable, bookish Rachel, who is never able to extinguish the spark she immediately felt for Oz. But being secretly in love with her best friend’s boyfriend all year hasn’t been easy.
As this year’s party approaches, Oz and Tamara break up. It’s a worst-case scenario when Oz asks Rachel to help him write Tamara love letters to win her back in time for their Hanukkah anniversary. Rachel’s been writing love letters to Oz in her journals for a year; she knows all the words he would need. But will Rachel be able to hide her true feelings from Oz any longer? And might this year’s party finally be Rachel’s chance to trust her heart and put everything on the line for love?
My Review:
I decided I was in the mood for lots of holiday stories this year, and having the longer drive to and from work this year meant a perfect time for audiobooks. This was a very short one, less than 3 hours. But it was very cute! I liked the Jewish holiday with Hanukkah instead of just a plain old Christmas story. I started out connecting with Rachel right away. Feeling as if her luck with guys was exactly the same as mine. And how clueless Oz was, well, I think that maybe true for all guys? At least I’ve had people tell me that. This was a wonderfully sweet, fun, cute holiday story that I highly recommend!
