Weekly Wrap-Up #16

Once again I’ll be linking this up with both Stacking the Shelves (hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality) and the Sunday Post (hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer).

Crazy busy, went by really fast week! At least for me? How about you? I took one day off this week and went and got my fingerprints taken for my new job next school year. Also took that day to get some other things done, like it was time to renew the license plates on my car as well.

I saw an article in one of my book email newsletters I get where they were talking about a game called Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town. So since I’ve been kind of bored with nothing new in my Animal Crossings New Horizons, I bought it. The first day I played I was afraid I would never figure it out! I tried again last night and I kind of have it figured out. Not sure if I like it as much as ACNH, but so far it’s not that bad. We’ll see!

Still no writing. Sad face. Oh yeah! We got crazy snow on Tuesday morning, that was coming down pretty good on my way to work. But on my drive home from work it was all completely melted and it was actually a pretty nice day! Here are the two pictures I took:

And here is a cute picture of one of my dogs, Dora, outside yesterday in the nice spring weather. It was like she was posing for me.

Last week I forgot to share the neat little surprise I got that Friday night from my niece and nephew. In honor of National Librarian Day, they made me some bookmarks and a fun little place setting at the dinner table that night. We were also kind of celebrating that it was the day 9 years ago that my niece came home from the hospital after being there for the 2 months since she was born early in February.

Oh yeah! I forgot to share that it has been a little over one year since I first self published my novella, Pillow Talk, under my pen name, Vienna Amans. I’m running it on sale for free until Monday or Tuesday here: https://tinyurl.com/y4b396dq It’s always free in KU. But here is my little ad I have for it:

New Books:

Only one new physical book, I won a book from the Young Adult Book Central website. Seems I won another according to the email this past week as well, but it of course hasn’t arrived yet.

New E-galleys for Review:

Now for The Hate of Loving You, that may not be the final cover, as the cover reveal isn’t for another week or so. I’m reading The Introvert’s Guide to Online Dating right now. And the publisher reached out to me on Goodreads about The Layover.

Free E-books:

Last Week’s Posts:

Reviews: Quit Bein’ Ugly by Lani Lynn Vale, The Freshman by Monica Murphy, Lycanthropy and Other Chronic Illnesses by Kristen O’Neal, and I should be posting after I finish this post a review for Slingshot by Mercedes Helnwein.

Promo posts: Cover Reveal: Gutter Girl by Lynn Rush and Kelly Anne Blount, Book Blitz with Giveaway: Sips & Strokes by Sarah Skye, Blog Tour: Falling Into Love With You (The Hate-Love Duet #2) by Lauren Rowe, Cover Reveal: Takeover by Evelyn Sola, and Release Blitz: Charming Billionaire by Max Monroe

Giveaways:

Final Thoughts:

How was your week? Did you get any new books?

No writing. I did do some talking or at least asking an author questions and hearing her writing process, so that was at least a little help! Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I love my Animal Crossing. I play a little every day. I don’t have to go hard, since I have been playing for a year, but I did recently do a little terraforming and built a nice outdoor space that I am quite proud of. Have fun with it! What a sweet present from the kids.

I know the latest time we’ve gotten snow here was in May too. Fortunately the snow here didn’t last too long, gone by the afternoon. But it sure was fluffy white and wintery looking in the morning! Thanks for visiting!

I know, me too! I only wish maybe she’d been in the sunglight a little more. Thanks for stopping by!

  2. OH my goodness, your niece and nephew are adorable! I love it.
I had snow last week too and it really did look like those two pictures.
Your photo of Dora is so cute – she really does look like she’s posting.

Ah, thanks! They are sweeties! I love seeing everyone’s pictures on Facebook last week of the crazy snow days a lot of us had. Thanks for stopping by!
