Weekly Wrap-Up #6

Because I love to spice up my images, and it is actually Valentine’s Day, I had to redo my button for this post. Once again I’ll be linking this up with both Stacking the Shelves (hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality) and the Sunday Post (hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer).

Sadly, last week my Kansas City Chiefs didn’t seem to show up for the Super Bowl, and now we are mourning the sad ending to our season. But never fear, our quarterback is young and such a good player that we know we can get back there if we get back into the swing of it next year and just keep going.

Now, yes, it is Valentine’s Day, but as my life always seems to be, I am single. In the past my mom will give me some kind of gift, candy, gift card to Target, etc., but I never know for sure, and definitely don’t expect it. I spent most of Saturday working for Door Dash because they had some great promos for workers to make more. And I guess since it was a Saturday night, more people were likely to be doing things for the holiday compared to today, a Sunday, when a lot of people might still have to work tomorrow. Unfortunately I got a grocery store pick up order that I waited at the store for an hour and a half, and so my day of Door Dash didn’t go too great. Didn’t make any more than I would on a normal day without the specials.

Two new physical books this week. One is my Book of the Month choice. The other is from a Books for Trade on Twitter. The other person was looking for an ARC of Yesterday is History, and I had wished I’d gotten an ARC of the last Kiera Cass book, so it was a good trade.

These are the free e-books I got this week either free on Amazon or for signing up for the author’s newsletter.

E-galleys I got this week for upcoming reviews!

Two more SmartyPants Romance books to read! Yay!

Ah, that was so nice! I have a Ninja Foodi grill, so it is nice to be able to grill indoors now! Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I don’t remember the last time I had a valentine. In the 90s maybe? Sorry the grocery order messed up your night and that your team lost. There’s always next year. Maybe Brady will retire too.

Yeah, it’s been that long for me to have a valentine as well! Hoping for a better week this week though! Although the freezing cold isn’t starting it off on the best foot! Thanks for visiting!

Yeah, that’s how I feel about Mahomes! Although my brother, who is a Chiefs fan, had to be a downer and bring up some other young quarterback who won a Superbowl then never did anything again, and how the NFL’s budget is going to be a lot less next year because they didn’t have the revenue they usually do. I do live in KC! Glad to meet a fellow KC area book lover! I actually teach in KCK. Hope you stay warm as well, this cold is crazy! Thanks for stopping by!

Yeah, just frustrating that I didn’t make any money for all the time I was sitting in my car. Oh well, live and learn, I won’t pick up from that store again! Thanks for visiting!

  2. I love your Valentines Day button. So cute.

Sorry that your Door Dash day wasn’t very profitable. I’m not familiar with Door Dash-is it a food delivery service?

I hope you enjoy all your new books.

DoorDash is a food delivery service. Mostly restaurants, but they’ve started doing grocery stores and other store pick ups at times too. Thanks for stopping by!

That probably works well. That way you don’t have to worry about him forgetting Valentines day, right? lol. Thanks for visiting!

I went back today to the app just to check and it seems that person ended up giving me an extra $30 tip! So that was awesome and made up for the crazy wait. Thanks for visiting!
