Top 10 of 2018: Books I Meant to Read in 2018 with Giveaway

This was actually the first day theme for Kimberly Faye Reads event, but since I didn’t join in until after, I put it off for a day I’d already done what the topic for that day was, and today is supposed to be cover love.  You can check out my Cover Love post HERE.  I had a lot of books on my list to read this past year.  A lot that I got ARCs of at ALA in NOLA this past summer that I just didn’t get fit in.  A few others I heard so much about, but just didn’t get the time to read.  So here are the top 10 I wish I’d had time to read this past year.

So I have physical ARCs of all but two of these, and of those two, I think I have an e-galley that might still be good to read. But who knows when/if I might get to that.  Physical copies have more chance.  Have you read any of those?  Do you suggest I move any to the top of my TBR?  What book did you mean to read this past year but didn’t get to?

Two of my favorite male characters this year were: Dallas from Wait for It by Mariana Zapata – sucha slow burn romance and they start out incredibly rocky and throughout the book their connection slowly grows and my by the end the author had me (almost) in tears. I really, really love him! and then we have Levi from The Color Project by Sierra Abrams. I read that book in January and I still think about it almost a year later… he is just precious. that's all I can say about that 🙂

  2. This was not the best year for me for book boyfriends, and I am lucky that I finally found a couple of great ones in the last handful of books that I have read: J.D. Ortiz from My New Crush Gave to Me and Riden from Daughter of the Pirate King.

  3. Bobby Sky was pretty fun. I liked it. I thought Pride was fabulous. Great retelling. I am still on the waitlist for Mafi's book, but it is definitely getting read by me. Hope you get to some of these.

  4. I wanted to get around to Dread Nation and Pride as well! I read To Kill A Kingdom last year and I really liked it 🙂 I thought it was a good one and I hope you can get to it in 2019.
