Synopsis:
Dear Mister…**strike out** no, too formal.
Hey there sweet cheeks *strike out* no, too forward.
To whom it may concern,
Full disclosure; before we move forward with this email, I would like it to be known that I have consumed an adequate amount of alcoholic beverages to intoxicate myself tonight. Three margaritas, two shots, and one beer—because it was free.
I think it’s important to be open and honest with your co-workers, don’t you?
So here I am, being honest. Drunk but honest. Or just drunk with lust? You decide.
I like you so much it’s clouding my judgment and making me do things I never would sober. Like write this letter.
I have a hopeless, foolish, schoolgirl crush on you when you are the last person on earth I should be falling for. Did you know people around the office call you a sadist? An egomaniac. An insensitive, arrogant prick. Your bark is worse then your bite, and you don’t scare me. The fact is, I’d love that bite of yours to nip at my bare skin while we’re both wearing nothing but sheets.
For once I want you to look at me as more than one of your employees.
And as long as we’re being honest, that navy blue suit you wear? With the crisp white shirt? It really makes me want to loosen your tie and show you who’s boss.
Love,
Sincerely,
Yours.

As I’ve come to expect and look forward to from these two authors, the banter between these two leads, as well as between their friends, had me laughing out loud and thinking to myself how much they reminded me of me and my own friends. Rome and his best friend’s conversations were so funny! I love characters like that. And then we had Peyton’s friends, who after asking her to come out on Friday evening, and she turns them down to stay home, ask her if that means “no bra”. When she confirms that it does, the one friend does say that tops going out for just about any reason. I totally agree. Although they were going out to have chicken strips, which is a weakness of mine!
Since we didn’t really get much more than the thoughts of what the two wanted to do to each other when they were close until way at the end of the book, this is one of those stories where less can work more than sex right away. It kept the characters straight on their paths and standards for not fooling around in the work place. While I was a little confused at how it seemed Rome couldn’t figure out who the anonymous email writer was even with his first few interactions with Peyton, the authors didn’t keep it a secret from him way past when it would make sense. Although I did feel that he misunderstood it a bit at first, and that his reaction to her somewhat rejection might have been a little off for his own views of sex with employees, it wasn’t dwelt upon in any way that normally I feel is taken too far for dramatic purposes in stories. The amount of time for them to deal with their misunderstandings was realistic in my opinion, and made me really enjoy the story without scoffing at my normal annoyances in a romance.
I loved this project from these two authors, and look forward to possible reading more like this from the two of them together possibly, as well as looking forward to reading from each of them independently.
I've seen this one around but haven't read too many reviews for it. I'm glad you ended up enjoying it, and that it was a sweet romance despite the risqué letter. I'm all for the steamy bits! Author duos are nailing it lately — Christina Lauren, Ilona Andrews, etc.

I love the steamy bits as well! I have also become a big fan of author duos lately. Thanks for stopping by!
