Can’t Wait Wednesday #34: Everlife (Everlife series #3) by Gena Showalter

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings to spotlight
and talk about the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read.
Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on
Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine.  This week I’ve chosen the final book in a trilogy that I’ve really enjoyed so far.  I’m guessing that as usual, there will probably not be a physical ARC of this final book, so I will not have a matching set.  Oh well.  That seems to be the life of a book blogger, right?  Here is the blurb from Goodreads:

STAND TOGETHER OR FALL ALONE.

THE FATE OF THE EVERLIFE HANGS IN THE BALANCE.

At seventeen years old, Tenley “Ten” Lockwood had to make the ultimate choice—where to live after she died. Loyalty to her selected realm has not wavered…until now. The numbers-obsessed Conduit is out of time. Sacrifices must be made, and a terrible price must be paid. But is she too late?

As the Everlife descends into darkness, a single truth becomes clear: Troika and Myriad must unite at long last—or perish. In order to bring sworn enemies together, Ten must enter forbidden territory…and destroy the powerful Prince of Ravens. But there’s only one way inside—bonding with Killian Flynn, a deadly rival Laborer who sets her blood aflame.

When nothing goes as planned and betrayal leads to the edge of utter defeat, Ten and Killian will have to rebuild trust from the ashes of their hearts. Victory seems impossible; the odds stacked against them. In the end, how far will they be willing to go for the sake of their realms and the Everlife?

Have you read this series yet?  Did you like it?  What book are you eagerly awaiting this week?

  1. I have not read this series, but I do love the cover of the final book:-) I agree, I wish publishers would continue to hand out ARCs even with the last book in the series. I'm dying to get an ARC of Obsidio but I doubt I'll be able to. Oh well!

    • I know! I understand that maybe they are trying to keep the ending secret? Or save money? But when they still do the e-galleys, it is sad to not have the physical matching copy. I hate when BEA goes by without getting one you'd hoped as well. Thanks for stopping by!

  2. I have book one and two already on my tbr – but not read them yet *lol* And this one already pre-ordered. Guess I need to catch up with this series …

    Best wishes

    • You'll get to read them all three right in a row then! Sometimes that is nice. Although I often find myself still taking a break in between each book. Otherwise my whole life will get lost in the world of that series, which makes real life hard. 🙂 Thanks for visiting!

  3. This is a series that I have been meaning to start, because I like Showalter and I was intrigued by the premise. I hope you can get your hands on a physical ARC!

    • Well maybe you'll get to start and read all the way through if you wait till this one is out. My fingers are crossed on a physical ARC, but I don't have my hopes up too high. Thanks for visiting!

  4. Hi Lisa! Sorry I havent been here, I was on a mini vacation from blogging! But i am back and so glad to see you again. Hope all is well with you. I havent started this sereis yet. I have so many unfinished ones, I dont know if I shoud even start another one lol. Hope to see you soon. xoxo

    • There are so many series that we don't get to when we are bloggers, because we find so many new ones! I guess it's not a bad problem to have, better than having nothing to read, right? Thanks for stopping by, and glad to see you're back from your mini-vacation!
