Can’t Wait Wednesday #22 – Daughter of the Siren Queen (Daughter of the Pirate King #2) by Tricia Levenseller

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings to spotlight
and talk about the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read.
Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on
Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine.  I’m back to sharing sequels this week. This time it is a sequel to a book I just loved earlier this year, Daughter of the Pirate King.  You can read my review of that by clicking on the title in the last sentence.  Here is the blurb from Goodreads about the coming sequel:

The capable, confident, and occasionally ruthless heroine of Daughter of the Pirate King is back in this action-packed sequel that promises rousing high seas adventures and the perfect dash of magic.

Alosa’s mission is finally complete. Not only has she recovered all three pieces of the map to a legendary hidden treasure, but the pirates who originally took her captive are now prisoners on her ship. Still unfairly attractive and unexpectedly loyal, first mate Riden is a constant distraction, but now he’s under her orders. And she takes great comfort in knowing that the villainous Vordan will soon be facing her father’s justice.

When Vordan exposes a secret her father has kept for years, Alosa and her crew find themselves in a deadly race with the feared Pirate King. Despite the danger, Alosa knows they will recover the treasure first . . . after all, she is the daughter of the Siren Queen.

In Daughter of the Siren Queen, Tricia Levenseller brings together the perfect mix of thrilling action, tense battle scenes, and a heart-pounding romance.

Have you read the first book in the series yet?  Do you like books about pirates?  What book or books are you eagerly awaiting this week?

  1. This author and series are both new to me, but I love the sound of it. I'm adding it to my TBR list now. Thanks for stopping by my WoW and sharing!

  2. That cover's even better than the first one. I'm hearing so many good things about the first book I'm tempted, and this one sounds awesome.

  3. I admit I haven't read many books about pirates and I haven't heard of this one. Mind you I'm not very observant about other genres at the best of times! Hope you can grab it quickly. Thanks for stopping by the blog!

  4. Yes, yes, 1000 times, yes! I loved Pirate King. I 5-starred and favorited it. I get tears of jealousy in my eyes when I see a bookstagram of this book, because I want to read more of Alosa's story NOW. Great pick!

  5. OMG!! So "Daughter of the Pirate King" ALREADY has a sequel?! WOWZA!!! Gotta read the first book so I can then move on to the second one!! I can't believe I hadn't heard of this one before, but thanks to you, now I have!! 🙂

I'm adding this one to my GR shelves right NOW!! Thanks!!

Also, thanks for commenting on my CWW post!! <3 <3 🙂 🙂

  6. I've been meaning to pick up the first book in this series, and was excited to see there was a second since I didn't realize this was going to be a series. But anything that deals with pirates and is a kind of "old fashioned swashbuckler" intrigues me! Hope this one is good.

Thanks for visiting Finding Wonderland, Lisa. 🙂
