The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s
a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog,
showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is
coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme. With being in New Orleans last week for NOLA StoryCon, I didn’t do a post last Sunday. And the Sunday before that was really busy as well, so I’m actually a bit behind on these. Because of that this will be a longer post than normal.
Last three weeks on the blog:
- Audiobook reviews: All Lined Up (Rusk University #1) by Cora Carmack, Charged (Saints of Denver #2) by Jay Crownover, The Hudson Valley Series #1 and #2 – Nuts and Cream of the Crop by Alice Clayton, and Deep (Stage Dive #4) by Kylie Scott
- Reviews: Ink and Bone by Rachel Caine, The Swan Riders (Prisoners of Peace #2) by Erin Bow, Inclusions by Emily Duvall, Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake, Legal by Bree Dahlia, The Row by JR Johansson (Giveaway), Seas (Wendy Darling #2) by Colleen Oakes, and Deity (Covenant #3) by Jennifer L. Armentrout
- Promo posts: My Lord Ghost (The Grace Sister Trilogy #2) by Meredith Bond, Mummy’s Little Angel by JW Lawson, Piece by Piece by Elisabeth Staub, Enigma by Vanessa Liebe (Giveaway), Nine Candles of the Deepest Black by Matthew S. - September End of the Month Wrap-Up Post
So, lots of reviews, but still a big pile waiting to be reviewed sitting on my coffee table by where I sit and blog usually. 🙁 Didn’t get my walking done the last two weeks, although while I was in New Orleans I definitely got more than 10,000 steps almost every day. Here are the pictures of me with all the authors I met at NOLA StoryCon:

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews. It is a way for us to share the new books we have collected. I've got three weeks to share. Although I am only going to share one week's worth of free/cheap ebooks, because there are so many every week that I'd be going on forever. Physical books:

E-galleys from Netgalley:
The one from Netgalley is the only one I’ve actually downloaded for sure. The others are ones I’ve just put on the calendar just in case I have time to get to them, or can get in a blog tour for them.
Free/Cheap e-books:
Okay. Since I’ve not done a post in three weeks, there is absolutely no way I can put all of those here. My estimate of the number I downloaded is 105. There’s no way I’m going through and adding all those to a post.
But anyway. Those are most of the books I added the past three weeks. I’ve been out of the loop, so what have you added lately to your bookshelves?
How awesome that you got to meet so many great authors! Congrats on RoseBlood too! That's one of my most anticipated reads of the year! I hope you enjoy all your new books and have a great week 😀
Here's my Weekly Recap!
After reading Howard's last book, I am even more excited for Roseblood. And meeting the authors is always my favorite thing! Thanks for stopping by!
This looks like so much fun and how awesome that all the authors were so nice! That's quite a group too. Love the shoe and the fact you got it autographed! All the books look fantastic as well and I'd love to play that Big Bang Theory Monopoly. Really I just want to look at it and see the names of all the spaces. Have a great week!
There was one author, I won't say which one, that kind of seemed a little fake in their friendliness, but that could have just been me or that she wasn't feeling well. It was such a blast! I totally recommend anyone to go next year. I love the game pieces for the monopoly game, there is even Sheldon's spot! Thanks for visiting!
It's always nice to meet some of your favorite authors. I hope you love all of your new books. The e-galleys are really good.
Grace @ Books of Love
I can't wait to get to all of my new books, although some will be a while. Thanks for stopping by!
The convention sounds really fun! Glad you had a nice time. Plus, you walked away with a crazy good book haul between ARCs and bought books Enjoy!
The convention was a blast, you should try to go next year if you can! Most of my book haul wasn't from the convention, but still got some good ones there! Thanks for visiting!
I requested Dare You today. I hope I'll get approved but I honestly doubt it. But still, I want to read it so badly…
You're so lucky to be approved, I hope you'll like the story.
As for Roseblood, oh I also want to read that book so much! I plan to request it soon (working on my ratio) but also was told I was on the list for physical proof copies so I still hope that the book will show up at my door…
100 Hours looks so good. I thin kI should go visit Edelweiss and see, as I see from other posts, there's so many iteresting books out there.
Yeah, I was kind of bad with some of the last couple Jennifer Brown books and didn't get them read, but on Edelweiss I'm pretty much pre-approved for most publishers. I really liked the first one, so I'm intrigued for the next one. Thanks for stopping by!
Looks like you had a great time meeting all those authors!! And lots of great books!
It was a great time. If you get a chance you should go next year! Thanks for visiting!
Oooo, NOLA StoryCon looks fun! I didn't know about that particular Con. It looks like you hit the Harper upload as well! I love their Winter collection. I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
Have a fabulous week, Lisa. 🙂
Check out my STS post!
This was the first year for NOLA StoryCon, and I kind of found out about it by accident last year! I want to go again next year, but don't think I can afford it. Thanks for stopping by!
Nice review of Three Dark crowns! After seeing your review I definitely want to read it and see which queen I root for lol. I've been leaning that way anyway after seeing all the reviews, but other than a few mixed ones they mostly seem positive.
NOLAStorycon looks great, glad you had fun. I love cons…
Three Dark Crowns was a great book. NOLA StoryCon was wonderful! I wish I could afford to go again next year. Thanks for visiting!
Ugh, I got denied for Roseblood almost immediately. Hahaha. It looks like NolaStoryCon was a great event with tons of great authors! Have a lovely week Lisa!
I was so scared I would be denied for it! But my percentage is a little bit up on Netgalley, and I've read and reviewed every one of AG Howard's books that I've had, so maybe? Thanks for stopping by!
Glad to hear you had such a good time in New Orleans. That's great the authors made it known they want you to talk to them. Ooh that shoe centerpiece is SO cool and yay for getting it signed by a favorite author. I'd love that! I'm hoping to do BEA again next year. I really didn't think I'd be able too, since NYC can cost quite a bit but my parents want to visit NYC too, so we might all go together. It won't really help me with money that much, but it's good incentive to make it!

I really want to do BEA in May, but since I'm doing Apollycon in March, don't know if I'll be able to afford it. And I really wanted to go again because my sister moved apartments in Manhattan so that she just lives a few blocks from the Javit's Center where they have BEA. But she and I haven't been on the best of terms for a while, so not sure if I'll go. Plus, money. Thanks for visiting!
Now that is a mega haul! That is a lot of downloaded free books, something I love hunting for. It makes a change from when I was a kid and had to go to the library every second day all summer to find stuff I hadn't already read!
I can't seem to help myself about downloading free ebooks. I mean they're free!!! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
NOLA StoryCon looks amazing! So glad you had an awesome time ^_^ And what a huuuuge haul! Hope you love all your new books!
Brittany @ Brittany's Book Rambles
If you get the chance to go, you totally should! Can't wait to get to my new books. Thanks for visiting!
I'm going to talk to my sister and see if she'll go with me next year. Your trip looks like such fun! I want that Big Bang Theory game! I wonder if it's in Klingon. LOL
My Sunday Post
You should totally go! I wish I could afford to go again. It was a ton of fun. Not to mention just hanging out in New Orleans! Ooh, there might be something in Klingon in the game! Can't wait till I get to play it. Thanks for stopping by!
Wow! Looks like you had an amazing time at NOLA StoryCon! I'm so jealous! You got to meet so many authors I love to read… JLA, Cora, Samantha, Jay, Kresley! Gah! And the centre piece is so cool!
Have a great week!
Naomi @ Naomi’s Reading Palace
It was so awesome! I wish I could afford to go ahead and buy a ticket for next year. But without the full line up of authors, there's not anyone I haven't already met, so can't really afford to just jump in and buy a ticket right now. The centerpiece feathers got a little messed up on the trip home, but it is still in pretty good shape. I never win anything, so to win two things at one convention was awesome! Thanks for visiting!
NOLA StoryCon sounds amazing!! I'm glad you had so much fun! And I love the centerpiece you won!!
Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction
It was awesome! If you ever get a chance, you should go! It was totally worth it. Thanks for stopping by!
StoryCon looks like SO much fun!! I love big book events so much. I'm interested to see what you think of Spindle Fire…I *almost* downloaded that one but something stopped me. I'd be worried I wouldn't like it, that cover is way too pretty haha!
It was a blast! It makes me really look forward to Apollycon in March. Spindle Fire is one that I could download, but haven't, just to make sure if I don't have time to get to it, it won't count against me on the site. But yeah, that cover is so cool! Thanks for visiting!
