The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s
a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog,
showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is
coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme. Still doing lots of reading, but got a bit behind this week on my goal of writing reviews. But still working on it.
Last week on the blog:
- Cover Characteristic: Balconies
- Reviews: Rowdy (Marked Men #5) by Jay Crownover (audiobook), Losing It by Emma Rathbone, The Killer in Me by Margot Harrison (Blog tour and giveaway)
- Waiting on Wednesday: Blacksouls (Blackhearts #2) by Nicole Castroman
- Swoon Thursday: Play (Stage Dive #2) by Kylie Scott
- Blog Tour and Author Interview: Knight’s Apprentice – Knights of the Immortals by Catrina Taylor
I seem to be having a lot of books I’m reading that fit the Swoon Thursday meme these days. So you should look forward to more of those in the future. Still had a crazy busy week and didn’t get as much as I wanted done. But I did get some things done. While I had planned to try to get to the gym four times to make up for only getting there twice last week, I only got three in, but since that is my weekly goal, I’m okay with that. If you remember my baseball game ticket fiasco from last week, my assistant principal made up for it this week by giving me tickets to next Monday, or tomorrow’s game. Hours at the bookstore changed this week. It has been weird closing at 9 pm instead of 8 pm, but still very nice! I’m really looking forward to it once the school year starts.
Coming up this week on the blog:
- Reviews: Sojourn by Tara Dawn, Fall From India Place (On Dublin Street #4) by Samantha Young (audiobook), And I Darken by Kiersten White
- Waiting on Wednesday
- Cover Characteristic – Eggs
- Blog tours and blitzes: invisible-i-am by Gregg Davis, The Carver by Jacob Devlin
- Possible Discussion Post
At the moment I’m not quite sure of what I’m going to do for a discussion post this month, or if it will fit in this week or next. As you can see another busy week on the blog. Plus, I’ll be going back in to work in the library this week. Plan to meet with my new co-librarian on Monday. Monday night is also the baseball game. I’ve got my three days of walking planned. Hoping to get as much done as possible!
Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.
It is a way for us to share the new books we have collected. I did better with not getting physical books this week, only got a few. But I did get a lot of free ebooks this week. And I got some cool book swag stuff that I bought this week! Let me show that off first.
I had to get this tank top for when I get to meet Jay Crownover in September. It says “Love and Ink”, and is for the Marked Men series. You can get your own Crownover swag HERE.
And my cool new iphone case! I got this from Evie Seo’s shop on Society 6. I’ve been wanting one of her cases for awhile, and there wer so many to choose from it was hard! But I went with this one. You can check out the rest of her shop HERE.
Physical Books:
A cool new bookmark! Then the first two books, Finding It and Play, I recently listened to on audiobook. Play has my new book boyfriend Mal Erikson. I love him. I keep picking the book up and reading it. He’s a tie with Nate Sawyer from Before Jamaica Lane, and Daemon from the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I didn’t think I’d ever find anyone I loved as much as Daemon, but Nate came around, and now Mal. And then the final book you see is the one that I’m currently listening to on audiobook, since I’m done listening to all the Marked Men series, and have to go on to Crownover’s new series, Saints of Denver.
Got this awesome ARC from HMH Kids this week. I assume it was from being a part of the tour through Rock Star tours. I started it the day I got it, and I’m loving it! It’s been awhile since I’ve read a book by Gina Damico, and I’m remembering how much I love her characters!

Wow! What a haul!! Congrats on meeting your gym goal this week even if you didn't get that extra trip in. I've really been wanting to read Wax so I can't wait to see what you think about that one! Have a great week 😀
Here's my Weekly Recap!
I'm really enjoying Wax! It is a fun book, and I'm remembering how much fun the characters the author writes are. Witty, sarcastic dialogue just like I like. Thanks for stopping by!
So many wonderful looking books. I like the tank top that you bought. I hope you love all of your new books.
Grace @ Books of Love
I want to wear the tank top now, but I kinda want to wait and keep it new for when I go see the author. Decisions! Thanks for visiting!
You're like me with the freebies. It's so hard to resist. Have a great week!
I know!!! But now I have to figure out how to get rid of the ones I start and don't enjoy so I can get them out of the way on my Kindle app. Thanks for stopping by!
You can either archive them to the Cloud, or you can go online to Manage Your Content & Devices and permanently delete them.
Love your book swag…and the books. Love on the Rocks reminds me of a song I love. Thanks for sharing…and for visiting my blog.
It does, now that song is going through my head as well! Thanks for returning the visit!
Oh, I'm so glad that you get to go to another baseball game – I hope this one is a much better experience for you! And that shirt is adorable!!!
Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction
The baseball game was amazing! And the seats were awesome! I was so happy and thankful I got to go. And I want to wear my new tank top so bad, but I'm trying to wait till I meet her! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
Oh lots of freebies and sale books! I grabbed quite a few this past week as well. There were just so many good 99 cent deals!! I pretty much always 1 click a 99 cent book that sounds good. Hope you have a great week!
And I'm good and only get the free ones! So I can barely imagine how many I'd end up with if I did the 99 cent ones as well! Thanks for visiting!
I've read a Gina Damico book and it was hysterical! I have had my eye on Wax, I hope you love it:-)
I did love her first two books in the Croak series, and this one hasn't disappointed! Thanks for stopping by!
Good luck with the new year and I hope you enjoy the game. (I never manage to "catch up" if I get behind on physical goals, so don't feel bad.)
Yeah, I'm trying to just be good with making sure the next week I do what I'm supposed to and get back on track, if I don't catch up, I don't. Thanks for visiting!
I love Evie's designs! They're so gorgeous. And PLAY! Love that book so much!!!!
I do too! There are just a few books I wish she'd read so that she'd do something about them for me. 🙂 OMG!! Play!!!! One of my favorite books ever now. I have it sitting on my coffee table, and if I'm not doing anything sometimes I pick it up and just read a little bit. Thanks for stopping by!
I can't wait to read your review of And I Darken. Your week looks pretty busy. I hope you are able to get everything done. That tank top and phone cover look awesome. I would love that shirt for myself. Have a great week!
I loved it. My review will be up on Wednesday! Always busy weeks. I had thought about going in today, Tuesday, to my library, but decided to take a day off to do blogging and hang with the puppies. Figure I need to do a few more of those before school starts back up. Thanks for visiting!
I've been adding a lot of e-books to my Kindle lately too. Not as many as you, but still quite a bit! haha I need to dial it back a bit too.
That's great you've been getting to the gym a lot. It's been awhile since I've been and I really need to change that!! I need to get back in the groove.

Ah, I've got to stop with the ebooks, but since they're all free, I can't say no. Working on the exercising, but I've hit a plateau with losing weight, getting sad about that. Thanks for stopping by!
Wow! Huge haul! Several that look really good too. I really need to read Built and I need to start the Losing It series. Have a great week!

Sandy @ Somewhere Only We Know
Built is pretty good, although a little slow in places. I feel like the author keeps going over the same issues more than she usually does in a book, and I'm like, just go on, the main character doesn't need to keep having those thoughts in their head fully every time! But it could just be that the narrator is reading slow. Thanks for visiting!
That pink shirt looks so pretty! Here’s my Sunday Post!
It is so pretty, and I can't wait to wear it, but want to wait until I first meet the author so that I don't get it dirty before or ruin it. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
Great haul this week! That iphone case is stunning–I wish my phone were easier to find cases for, all I ever have to choose from are pretty silly and/or plain-booooooring!
Here's hoping you enjoy your recent acquisitions! And thank you so so much for stopping by my blog this week! <3 Happy book-ing to you!
Well, it wasn't cheap, but I love it, and couldn't find any cheap ones this time that I loved as much, so I splurged! Thanks for returning the stop!
Oooo, I like your new tank! I'm currently reading Stealing Snow – it's a little boring right now, but I don't think I'm even 10% in. Hopefully it gets better!
I hope you enjoy all of your new books and have a great week, Lisa!
Alyssa @ The Eater of Books!
Hmm, will see what you think of Stealing Snow when you finish! Thanks for visiting!
So many books! I hope you enjoy every single one of them. 🙂
@dino0726 from
FictionZeal – Impartial, Straightforward Fiction Book Reviews
Don't know if I'll get to every single one of them, but hey, they're there just in case! Thanks for stopping by!
I've grabbed way too many freebies this weekend and it will take me ages to put them on my STS posts! Enjoy your books!
I know! I might be getting about to the point where I can't include the freebies anymore if I don't give it a break. 🙂 Thanks for visiting!
That iPhone case is gorgeous! Love it!
Enjoy all your books 🙂
My Book Haul
Me too! I keep having to look at it myself. Thanks for stopping by!
