The Cover Characteristic meme is hosted at  Sugar and Snark.   Here are the guidelines:

Each
week we will post a characteristic and choose 5 of our favorite covers
with that characteristic. If you want to join in and share your 5
favorite covers with the weeks particular characteristic, then just make
a post, grab the meme picture (or make your own) and leave your URL in
Linky (so we can visit).

You
don’t even need to participate, just stopping by and saying hi would be
great! Don’t forget to stop by the other participants!

Let me just say that this week was hard!!!!  And you know that I normally try to pick only books that I’ve already read.  This week I could only find 3 that I had already read.  Then I will usually look at my TBR lists to find others.  There were none on those lists.  So I had to just type in the word ladders on Goodreads and I found a couple more.

Here are the two I haven’t read, and aren’t on my TBR either.

And here are the three I found in the books I’ve actually read:

1.  I guess this one would be my favorite:

So those are the covers I found.  What do you think?  Can you think of any other covers with ladders on them?

  1. This was a tough one! I'm not sure I could have come up with any covers featuring ladders. I love the Eats Shoots and Leaves cover too. I remember when I read it the cover always made me giggle a bit.

  2. This is my first time coming across a post like this! I think it is interesting! I actually went through my Read list and only found 2! I never realized the small things on covers until we are specifically looking for them!

    • Yeah, that's why I've started joining into this one, it's so much fun to go back and look at all the covers of the books I've read on Goodreads. Thanks for stopping by, looking forward to getting to know you this month!

    • Well, I take a little time going through my Goodreads read list, which is fun. Thanks for stopping by! ANd actually, Room for Improvement was one that I thought of right off the bat for this topic!

  3. Yes, it does seem like the challenge this week would have been more difficult. Not sure I can think of any I've read for which the cover has any ladders. 🙂
