The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s
a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog,
showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is
coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme. First week back in school since winter break. And it was so busy! I didn’t even get around to going and visiting links on the Waiting on Wednesday sign up page this week. Oops. And while I was ahead on reading, well, let’s just say some publishers added some books to Edelweiss that come out in like a week or two, totally piling me up again, and forcing me to make some more decisions on what to actually read. So let’s start with what happened last week.
Last week on the blog:
- Cover Characteristic: Jewels
- Teaser Tuesday: The Raging Sea by Michael Buckley
- Waiting on Wednesday: The Hunt by Megan Shepherd
- Promos with Giveaways: Blood, Milk, and Chocolate Part 2 by Cameron Jace, Ascendancy by Karri Thompson, A Cupcake Christmas by Beth Barany
- Review: The Raging Sea by Michael Buckley
- Audiobook Review: Alienated by Melissa Landers
So it has been an interesting week. It started off with some kind of issue between my blog and Facebook. For some reason I was unable to link my blog posts up to my blog page on Facebook for any post after last Saturday. Every time I tried it would say I had some kind of malware extension, and it wouldn’t let me post. So of course I panicked, and researched what kind of virus program I could use on a Mac. The first one found nothing. The second one found two, one that it was able to get rid of, and the other that it couldn’t get rid of on a Mac, but gave some very confusing instructions which I couldn’t figure out. But as of yesterday, it seems that the issue is done. I did report it to the Facebook support page, the one that I seriously doubt anyone ever looks at. But I guess maybe they did, since it works for me again.
I plan to do monthly challenge updates instead of weekly. Especially since I didn’t really get any challenges met this week. But I did find a new book I LOVE!! Alienated by Melissa Landers is one of my new all time favorite stories. I’m now debating whether to read the sequel Invaded, or go ahead and download and listen to the audiobook. I will definitely buy a copy either way.
Coming up this week:
- Promos: The Key of Alanar by Rory B. Mackay
- Reviews: Opal by Jennifer L. Armentrout, The Heir and the Spare by Emily Albright (part of tour)
- Possible reviews: Will to Survive by Eric Walters
- Waiting on Wednesday
- Cover Characteristic: Mirrors
At the moment I don’t have a post scheduled for every day, and hoping to keep it that way. That way on the days I don’t have anything scheduled I can make sure to catch up on commenting and such. Hoping to maybe get a little caught up!

It is a way for us to share the new books we have collected. I added quite a few books this week.

Such a lovely selection! I especially can't wait to read Banished. I loved Forbidden. Enjoy reading your new books, I can't wait to read your reviews as usual.
I keep seeing so many people getting ARCs of Banished at the ALA convention and I'm so jealous!! Thanks for stopping by!
Yikes, glad you got the posting/malware issue sorted out. I've had Alientaed on my shelf for far too long. Sounds like I need to move it on up the list. Looking forward to your review of Opal. ♥ I loved Stone Cold Touch (then again I love anything by JLA). Have you already read White Hot Kiss? Hope your week is off to a great start, Lisa!

Yes, don't know what it was or how it got fixed, but I'm very glad. I was at the point of even starting to think about how to back up my blog. Still probably need to figure that out just in case. You should definitely pick up Alienated, I just adored it! I love all JLA books just like you! I've finished the whole Dark Elements series, just wanted to own them all as well! Thanks for visiting!
I think it's a great idea to not post every day, and use the down time to catch up on commenting and such! I'm just setting up a new blog now (not my first time doing this, oops lol), and I'm aiming to post 3 times a week-that's plenty for me 🙂
Working on all the commenting tonight! Of course I've got a review to write tonight as well. 🙂 Good luck with your new blog! ANd thanks for stopping by!
Are we all starting this year by trying to keep lighter schedules, catch up, and comment on other blogs? I've seen that a lot and that's been my focus as well. Love your stash!! So many fun things there. I had the same issue with publishers dumping on Edelweiss and NetGalley and I had said I wasn't going to grab too many eARCs… I hope you enjoy them all!
My Weekly Update
I think everyone is! Lol,2015 must have been the year of taking on too much. Thanks for stopping by!
I really want to read The Greatest Zombie Movie Ever and look forward to hearing your thoughts. It also has a really great cover. Wonderful haul. I really hate the postal system sometimes but it was great you were still able to get them all!
That was the one I was the most excited for, and I was so disappointed when it was missing from the original package. It was so awesome that the publishers sent the rest of them. Thanks for visiting!
I definitely need to check out Alienated! That is awesome that it's on audiobooks, because I have been into those within the last year. Great haul, Lisa and thank you for stopping by. 🙂
It's been about a year for me with audiobooks as well. Thanks for returning the stop!
Haha. I just got Cruel Crown in the mail like forty minutes ago. 🙂 And I'm mega jealous of your JLA book, btw. I really need to get physical copies of her new adult books. I just wish they were all the same height.
Thanks for visiting Shell's Stories. 🙂
I had to buy it Friday night when I worked at the bookstore. True, it is hard when they're all different sizes, but since my shelves are like that it doesn't bother me too much. Thanks for returning the visit!
I haven't read Fall With Me yet. I've read the rest of the series, I don't know why I'm dragging my feet with this newest installment.
Haven't actually read any of the series yet. Just hoping I can read this one without having to go back and get the others. Thanks for stopping by!
Ughhh that really sucks. I feel like sometimes the post is so irresponsible. Like I get it you do this all day long but its our mail your messing with! Anyway so many pretties. I enjoyed Wolf by Wolf and really want to read Jodi Picoult's book. Burn and Kingdom of Ashes look pretty great too. Will be looking forward to your reviews of those bad boys!

My guess is someone stole them! Can't wait to get to all the books! But of course it will take time to get through them. Thanks for visiting!
Enjoy your books…you have many good ones waiting for you.
Thanks! Can't wait to get to them! Glad you could stop by.
I loved Wolf by Wolf, Invaded, Banished, and Burn! I hope you enjoy all of your new books, Lisa. 🙂
Alyssa @ The Eater of Books!
Jealous that you've already read Banished and Burn! Hoping to get to them soon. I've got to totally do more reading! Which unfortunately means spending less time on my blogging. Thanks for visiting!
Kingdom of Ashes looks really good. Nice Haul!
I'm excited to see where it goes from the last book. Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you enjoy your book haul this week!
Thanks! Can't wait to get to them. Thanks for visiting!
What an interesting week you've had, although somewhat of a hassle. Hope this week is better. Like the book haul! 🙂

Better for the most part, especially with my blog back up and problem-free, knock on wood. But still really busy! Tonight I need to get two reviews done!
What an amazing haul this week! I've been wanting to read The Greatest Zombie Movie Ever. Didn't they turn that into a movie as well? I can't remember. Hope you enjoy all your new books and have a great week!
I haven't heard if it is a movie, but that would be fun! I was so disappointed when that book wasn't in the original package from Sourcebooks, so was glad they quickly sent it out to me! Thanks for stopping by!
I'm glad your Facebook issues have been resolved! Wolf by Wolf is supposed to be really good! And I haven't read that book by Jodi Picoult, but I've read another one that I liked. I hope you enjoy your books. 🙂
I read The Walled City, so hoping that I will like Wolf by Wolf as well. I haven't really read any Jodi Picoult books, they're not normally my type of read. But this was a YA one and I loved it!
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on Anna and the Swallow Man.
Happy reading!
I'm a little disappointed it got to me so late, because now fitting it in with upcoming releases may set it back. Thanks for stopping by!
I'm sorry you had trouble with your blog/Facebook interface, but I'm glad it seems to be cleared up. And what a lovely bunch of new books!
Me too, it was such a relief to see it working again! Thanks for visiting!
I hope that you were able to work out the issue preventing you from posting to Facebook.
Happy reading to you.
I was so happy when I saw it was fixed, thanks for stopping by!
Impressive haul this week. I have a lot of books to share this coming Sunday myself lol Thanks for stopping by my blog!
P.S. Your layout here is perfection! So bright and cheery too.
Well, can't wait to see your haul! Thanks for the compliment. I really do love my blog. I just have a few changes I want to make to the header. Thanks for visiting!
Sorry for the late STS reply! I love the haul you have! Some of the covers are just dashing 😮
We're all so bad about covers, aren't we? I wouldn't say I judge a book by its cover, but I definitely may be drawn to it quicker if it has a pretty cover. Thanks for stopping by!
