The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s
a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog,
showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is
coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme.
Last week on the blog:
- Cover Reveal: Blooders by Laura Catherine
- 2015 Series Ender Challenge Sign-up Post
- Waiting on Wednesday: Denton Little’s Birthdate (Denton Little #2) by Lance Rubin
- Reviews: Dumplin‘ by Julie Murphy, Walk on Earth a Stranger (The Gold Seer Trilogy #1) by Rae Carson
- Cover Characteristic: Keys
Another week of only two reviews. But I got as much read as I wanted, just ended up getting them all finished about the same time and not having time to do all the reviews at once. I decided to go ahead and join into the Series Ender Challenge since I had already done a few of these this year, and hoped to do a few more. For the whole Fit Blogger, I didn’t do any extra walking this week. Although I did make several days of at least 10,000 steps. My sequels challenge isn’t going that great. Although I will have two to review this next week, and I did start another sequel today. I did get a little bit of writing done on a prompt to help me get started for NaNoWriMo this year, so that is good. Was supposed to have another writing date today, but cancelled because of how busy I’ve been.
This week on the blog:
- Reviews: Passion (Fallen #3) by Lauren Kate (audio book), The White Rose (The Lone City #2) by Amy Ewing
- Blog Ahead 2015 Sign-up Post
- Waiting on Wednesday
- Possible Cover Characteristic
- Possible reviews: The Storm (The Rain #2) by Virginia Bergin
That’s probably all. I am going to New Orleans for the weekend. I leave on Friday, and don’t get back till Monday, so there probably won’t be a Sunday post next week. I’ll probably try to figure out some other kind of meme to add in to make sure I still get something blogged every day though. I’m very excited for my trip! I’ve never been to New Orleans before! It’s going to be kind of a sorority reunion. But we are doing touristy stuff, a swamp tour, a plantation tour, and maybe a haunted tour. We’re staying in a friend’s condo above a bar that he owns. So the only money I’ll really have to spend is on food and entertainment. I’ve never been much of a drinker, but will for sure have to go to my friend’s bar called Spirits on Bourbon and try their fancy drink and get its fancy mug that it comes in! Not sure how much walking I’ll get done this week other than when I’m in New Orleans.
Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.
It is a way for us to share the new books we have collected. I was good and didn’t buy any books for myself this week, although I did have to buy some for last month’s giveaways! But I did have a pretty good haul this week other than that.

Nice wins Lisa and those covers are lovely. I participate in Series Ender, but never remember to update my progress. It is horrible. I love NOLA and hope you have an amazing time!!
I'm always bad about updating my challenges. Need to work on it. 🙂 I can't wait for my trip. Thanks for stopping by!
I like the idea of Series Ender but I have trouble keeping up with the five or so challenges I choose this year.
I agree that sometimes the time only allows two reviews and then we have to push to four another week to make up for it.
Walk on Earth a Stranger caught my eye. I hope you enjoy all of your new books. I keep forgetting to check Edelweiss – I have a hard enough time resisting titles at NetGalley!
I hope you have a great trip – sounds like fun! My DH and I are going on cruise starting Friday so I really need to start preparing posts so they can be scheduled ahead. Otherwise I have to pay for the extra internet time. 🙁
Happy reading, reviewing and touristing!
I totally understand, I'm bad about challenges. But the series ender fits in with my TBR pile challenge, so I decided to go ahead with it. Lately I've seen more on Edelweiss that I want than Netgalley. And I don't freak about my "percentage" with Edelweiss as much. That's what I'm thinking for the trip. I normally would bring my laptop, but not sure I want to worry about it this time. Have a great trip, and thanks for visiting!
I absolutely loved Court of Fives! It's gotten mixed reviews thus far, but I personally thought it was great. I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
Thanks for visiting my blog! Have a fantastic week, and good luck with reviews and whatnot. 🙂
Alyssa @ The Eater of Books!
I'm excited to read it, hoping I'll enjoy it like you did! Thanks for returning the visit!
I find myself wondering if I'll ever get all these old reviews written and uploaded! I hate writing reviews as each one takes me AGES to perfect. *grumbles* But I'm trying to get a few done today. Enjoy your reading this week!
I don't spend probably as much time as I should on reviews, probably why none of mine ever get picked for blurbs on books, but that's okay. I blog to have fun and talk about books like I would with friends or my students, not to get published. 🙂 I have several to do, will probably have to do them tomorrow if I have time! Thanks for stopping by!
That's great!! I hope you have a terrific time in New Orleans. 🙂

I received Shade Me too! Sounds like a really cool concept and I love the cover. Happy reading =)
And I've enjoyed other books by Jennifer Brown, so I'm excited because of that as well. Thanks for stopping by!
I CANNOT WAIT to read Revenge and the Wild! I was so happy (and bit surprised) when i got that one! Also i can't wait to hear about what you think of Shade Me. It looks really interesting. So many good books! I hope we love them all!!!

Me too, can't wait to get to both of them! Thanks for visiting!
You are the second person I have seen this week to have won Jackaby and the sequel! I really need to read Jackaby because I have had it on my ererader for ages! Hope you enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by the The Local Muse
I saw it posted on another blog as well. So excited to get it! Just can't wait till I get time to read it now. Thanks for returning the stop!
I enjoyed Court of Fives. Always wanted to read Jackaby. The others are mostly new to me. Enjoy them all! Thanks for visiting.
Great to hear about Court of Fives! Can't wait to get to it. Thanks for returning the visit!
Oh my gosh! You are going to New Orleans. I am so jealous. I have been wanting to go there for ever. I hope you have a fantastic time and that you go visit a few bookish places.
I'm very excited. Not sure what kinds of bookish places I'll find, but I hope I do! Thanks for stopping by!
The court of fives is in my TBR pile!! Can't wait to read your review of curse of Jacob Tracy! 🙂

Great haul! I hope you enjoy them. Have a great time in New Orleans! It sounds fantastic! 😀 x
Thanks! I can't wait to go!
Shade Me & Revenge and the Wild look really good! I bought Court of Fives myself a while back, but I haven't read it yet. I'm really excited for that one. Hope you enjoy them all!

I'm very excited for all of them. Can't wait till I actually have time to read them as well! Thanks for stopping by!
Wow, FABULOUS haul! I am so excited about SO many of these. I pre ordered UnBound, just because I don't want to have to review it 🙂 And Revenge and the Wild sounds AMAZING, as does The Cresswell Plot. I also won Jackaby and Beastly Bones, that is too funny! Hope you enjoy these, and have an amazing time in New Orleans! I have never been either, but it seems SO fun!

Yeah, that's the only thing, sometimes it is nice to not have to worry about when you are going to review. Although having the deadline with an expiration date on an egalley usually helps me! I can't wait to visit New Orleans and see what all the fuss is about. Thanks for visiting me!
Jackaby series is one I do want to try so I hope you enjoy those books! Ooh, and Shade Me was an impulse kind of review copy I received because I wasn't looking for it. But I do have Front Lines and Unbound in common with you and I LOVE Michael Grant so I was looking forward to those like crazy.
I love those impulse review books! Same here about Michael Grant. Thanks for stopping by!
