Last week on the blog:
- September is for Sequels Giveaway Hop – ends on Tuesday!
- Promo Posts: The Wanderers by Kate Ormand, The Next Together by Lauren James
- Reviews: Mirrored by Alex Flinn, A Whole New World by Liz Braswell
- Waiting on Wednesday: Yes My Accent is Real: And Some Other Things I Haven’t Told You by Kunal Nayyar
- Cover Characteristic: Toys
Only two reviews this week, and one wasn’t a book that I loved. I did get some other books read, but didn’t have time to fit in the reviews this week. So those will be happening next week. My giveaway started on Monday, and will finish up this coming Tuesday, be sure to click on the link above and enter! For my Fit Blogger update, I only got two days of 3 miles walked this past week, but that’s okay. I’ll be off to a good start this coming week I hope. With tomorrow off from work, I intend to go walk for sure. I’ve finished one book for my sequels challenge in the first week of September, the review will be next week. I’ve also got to think about getting things read and with November coming up, I’ll be doing NaNoWriMo again, so that will cut into some reading time. Had a great writing date with my writer friend this morning.
In other big news, I got selected to be part of author Victoria Scott’s Titans Jockeys to help promote her new book. You can see the button on my right side bar.
This week on the blog:
- Reviews: Audiobook of Fallen by Lauren Kate, Arianna’s Destiny by Michelle Sodaro
- Promo Post: Bleed by Dax Varley
- Top 10 Tuesday
- Waiting on Wednesday
- Possible reviews: Dark Shimmer by Donna Jo Napoli, Prodigy by Marie Lu
- Possible Cover Characteristic post
I’ve really got to get 2 sequels read this week to get caught up on my challenge goal of 8 for the month. I also at some point want to join into the Series Ender Challenge, so I may do a sign-up post for myself in the next couple of weeks as well. Trying to not stress over the review books I didn’t get to, and working on not requesting a bunch of new ones.
Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.
It is a way for us to share the new books we have collected. As it was still part of August, and I had a book buying ban, there wasn’t much purchased, other than I did go to the Dollar Tree Store and buy some books for my school library, good books, one was from the House of Night series by P.C. Cast! Without further ado, here is my haul for the week:

It's so hard! But I know I'm getting behind, and I hate doing that. Thanks for returning the stop!

I thought they looked good. Thanks for stopping by!
I think you aren't the only one struggling with fitness and reading. I am way behind on both. Luckily, my kids finally go back to school this week, so I hope to catch up on both. Have a terrific week.
I"m so bad. I had planned to get up and go walk this morning, but then plans changed and I went to a local festival with my family. So I should have come home and changed clothes and gone to the gym, but I didn't. I decided it was my last day of my holiday weekend and I hadn't had a night where I'd just been home and relaxed. Thanks for visiting!
I hope that you enjoy your new books 🙂 Happy Reading!
Thanks! And glad you stopped by!
Popular has a cute cover. Love paper dolls. Enjoy.

I thought so as well. Thanks for visiting!
Impressive that you only requested one book! Hope it's good! The Titans Jockey thing is fabulous!! I am so excited about it too, I have just loved Victoria's books! Hope you have a wonderful reading week!
Shannon @ It Starts At Midnight
And there were several I wanted too! I love the Dante Walker books, and the Fire and Flood series was pretty good too! Thanks for stopping by!
Sounds like you had a nice reading week. I am trying to get ahead with my review posts a bit so I have a buffer for when I have slower reading books.
And that's neat you got picked for the team to promote Victoria her new book. I haven't read any of her books, but I have heard of her. I hope you'll have a great week and enjoy your new books!
I'm trying to do that as well. Who knows how well it will go though. You should definitely give Scott's books a try! Thanks for visiting!
I definitely need to join the Series Ender Challenge too, I have a ton of 'last books' just sitting on my shelves unfinished. It's really cool that you were picked to help promo Victoria's new book!
Hoping to join again next year and really work on it. I was so excited when I got the email! Thanks for stopping by!
I certainly like the look of Empty Bodies, which is lurking on my Kindle as we speak. I've had an issue with bloglovin which keeps unfollowing your blog and three others which is why my visits have been patchy recently. It seems to have sorted itself hopefully, so you should be seeing more of me! Thanks for visiting me!
Hmm, that's weird!! But don't worry about it. I'll still visit you when I can, so we will get our visits done as we can. Glad you returned the visit!
