Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.
It is a way for us to share the new books we have collected. Once again, I got a large pile of books. And I have to admit that I did buy two of them. But in my defense, one was only a $1, and the other I’d ordered at the bookstore where I work before I’d went on the book buying ban, so I needed to buy it. Here’s a picture of the pile:
- Cascade (River of Time #2) by Lisa Tawn Bergren – This is the book I’d already ordered, so I had to go ahead and buy. I had the first book in the series as a free ebook, and I wanted to read on, so if I’m going to pay for a book, I prefer to have a physical copy.
- The Witches by Stacy Schiff – This is an ARC I got from the publishers. I think I requested it through Shelf Awareness. Didn’t realize quite how thick of a book it was going to be!
- The Bees by Laline Paull – I won this in the Clean Your Shelves Giveaway from Grace on Books of Love.
- Chasing Secrets by Gennifer Choldenko – I had to check it out when my egalley expired before I got to read the last fifty pages.
- This is Where it Ends by Marieke Nijkamp – This was a surprise from the publisher!! Very excited to read this one.
- The White Rose by Amy Ewing and The Eternity Cure by Julie Kagawa were both successful #booksfortrade on Twitter.
- Invisibility by Andrea Cremer and David Levithan – this was my $1 find, so excited! Found it at the Dollar Store! Can’t wait to read it!
The White Rose was my other must have ARC for the year. So now I’m trying to stay clear of the #booksfortrade, but sometimes it is hard to do.

Almost all of these books are new to me. A couple of them sound really interesting!
Great haul! Happy Reading!!
Well maybe you'll have a few to add to your TBR then. Thanks for stopping by!
I haven't heard of any of these. That Riders cover is so lovely! I'll have to check these out. Thanks! 😀
And there's always a good excuse for another book or two, even during a ban . . .
It's so hard to not buy! I keep seeing the things I want, or that I want to get for my school library. Thanks for visiting!
Great haul! I really want to check out Invisibility and have been wanting to since it came out a few years ago. It sounds pretty good!

They don't seem a lot like the books you read. But hey, that's what all the book blogs are for, to cover all the different books! Thanks for visiting!
RIDERS. Sobbing, basically. I can't wait to find out what you think of it! I am really excited for The White Rose and This is Where it Ends too! Hope you love them all! Also- there is nothing wrong with buying some $1 books- I mean, it's just good financial sense if you ask me 😉 Hope you are having a fabulous week!
Shannon @ It Starts At Midnight
You should go ask for it! I was so excited when I saw it up to ask for. Can't wait for all my books actually. And you're right, if I passed up a book I wanted, a brand new hardcover book, for $1, that would be a bad financial decision. Thanks for stopping by!
You got some great books this week. I am especially excited about white rose!
I hope you enjoy these pretties 🙂 Happy Reading!
Here's my Weekly Wrap Up
Michelle @ Book Briefs
I can't wait to read it! Waiting till September probably for my sequels challenge, but still so excited! Thanks for visiting!
Ooh great haul! I love cover of the Bees and Riders looks awesome! Hope you enjoy your new books (:
Can't wait till I can get to them! Thanks for stopping by!
I know you really wanted to try Riders so I hope you do like it! This Is Where It Ends and White Rose are books we have in common! I wanted to try the former because it is a Dutch author and I am living in the Netherlands. I also think the premise of that one is interesting.
Can't wait to get to it either! Oh cool! I'm sure it is neat to find authors where you are living. That's why I was so excited about the Landry Park series, it was written by an author from Kansas City, who also set the story in Kansas City.
