The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s
a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog,
showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is
coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme.
Last week on the blog:
- Reviews: Fallen by Lauren Kate, Landry Park by Bethany Hagen, and Messenger of Fear by Michael Grant
- Audiobook Review: Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
- Waiting on Wednesday: Every Last Breath (The Dark Elements #3) by Jennifer L. Armentrout
- Book Tour: Dancing to an Irish Reel by Claire Fullerton
I got three reviews done last week, and one audiobook review. I’m really getting more and more into them. So much so, that when my stupid car won’t connect to my iphone for some stupid reason, I get really cranky when driving. I had one post a day, like my goal is for the year as well. On the Fit Readers side, I walked 3 miles EVERY day this week! One day when it wasn’t supposed to rain in the morning, it did start raining enough that I had to go stand in one of the park shelters for a few minutes, but I didn’t let it stop me, I went back out as soon as the rain started tapering back to sprinkles and finished my walk. I’m getting lots of reading done though this summer. Don’t forget while you’re here to go enter my June New Release Giveaway!
This week on the blog:
- Reviews: Wildalone by Krassi Zourkova, The Designed by Kate Tailor
- Audiobook review: Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? by Mindy Kaling
- Possible reviews: Sweet by Emmy Laybourne, Watched by CJ Lyons, Waterfall by Lisa Tawn Bergren
- The last two above would be COYER Challenge books.
- Waiting on Wednesday
- Book Blitzes: Spectacle by S.J. Pierce, Tor Maddox series by Liz Coley
I am probably going to try to do some of the Scavenger Hunt with the COYER Challenge as well. Downloaded that document so I could add to it as I went through it. I have several review books I should go ahead and read to get ahead on. I have a ton of egalleys scheduled in August, so I have to get a move on!! As for the walking, well, not sure I’ll get as much done this week. You see, it is going to be really hot. And, I’m going to be back doing inventory in my library. So I’ll be in the library in the morning, which will be the best part of the day to walk in this heat. Not sure when I’ll get out and walk. Wish I had a treadmill in my house, or a place to even have a treadmill. Oh well. Guess I’ll figure it out. I also bought a swimsuit after seeing a picture of a friend in a pool and remembering just how nice it feels to be in a pool on a hot day. I’ve not really lost any weight, and I still don’t really want anyone to see me in a swimsuit, but I’ve got to get over that. So hopefully I’ll get my one sister to take me to the pool at her apartment one weekend. I just wish I knew someone I would go to a pool with that had weekdays off, I feel like it might not be as busy.

It is a way for us to share the new books we have collected. I was pretty good about not buying books this week. But we had the big 40% off all DVDs sale at the bookstore, and I got sucked into that by the other employees who spend a lot with that, and I spent a little bit on DVDs. Which I never seem to have time to watch. But I have them now, in case I do want to, and do have time. Here are the movies I got:

That's a pretty nice haul. I love The Monkees! It's been a long time since I've seen the show, though. I'm looking forward to reading Armada. I was going to give COYER a try, but I have so much going on right now. I'm already behind. Happy reading!

I haven't watched the Monkees in a long time either. But they keep advertising one of the antenna tv stations that shows it, and I don't get it. So I have been thinking about the show for a long time. I'm hoping COYER will help me clear out some ebooks, but I don't know how much I'll actually get to the scavenger hunt if it doesn't fit my already planned reads. Thanks for stopping by!
Kudos on a having a post for each day of the week! I enjoy audiobooks too. My husband and I ride together to work, but if I was by myself I would listen to audiobooks more. Hope you enjoy your new books!

Yeah, being in the car alone is perfect for audiobooks. Thanks for stopping by!
I've had my eye on After the Ending for awhile! It looks really good! I hope you enjoy all of these!
Here's my Weekly Recap!
Same here, I was excited when I saw it. Thanks for visiting!
I can't believe no one grabbed Armada – you are so lucky. Enjoy your books and good luck with COYER!
I know! I was shocked! Of course I don't know if I'll read it, or want to listen to it. Thanks for stopping by!
Already had Moon Dweller and We are Watching and just got the others! thanks a lot for the tip 🙂 Yesterday's is Gone looks really good! Can't wait to read it 🙂
I know what you mean about the audio books. It is a fairly new experience for me and I also get cranky when I can read them. Now off to read your review of Fallen and to enter your June new release giveaway 🙂
Yay! Glad you're entering. Maybe you'll win. Thanks so much for visiting!
Oooo, Voice of Gods! I can't wait to read more Herman 🙂 I hope you enjoy all of your new books when you read them!
Thanks for visiting my blog! Have a fabulous week 🙂
Alyssa @ The Eater of Books!
I don't think I've read Herman before, so excited to read this one. Thanks for returning the visit!
Wow, great haul! Loved Moon Dwellers, so I hope you do too! And please don't worry about your weight in a bathing suit! I know, easier said than done, but at least you're getting out there and having fun! Plus, you've been walking that much, so that is phenomenal! I hope you have a really great week, and happy reading!!
Shannon @ It Starts At Midnight
It's frustrating to be walking and not necessarily eating as much, but still not losing weight. GEtting older is not fun. Thanks for the boost though, and glad you stopped by!
Great haul this week! Armada is my most anticipated book of the year so I'll definitely be looking forward to your thoughts on it. Happy reading!
Krystianna @ Downright Dystopian
Not sure when I'll get to Armada, but am excited to have it for when I am ready. Thanks for visiting!
Didn't even know about Armada, and Ready Player One was one of my favorites! I'll have to get my hands on that one. Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy!
I think Armada is out next month. And I don't own Ready Player One since I listened to it, but it will be one that I have to buy and have on my shelves. Thanks for returning the stop!
Great haul. Hope you enjoy the Monkees; they were so funny. Yeah, as for walking, it would be crazy for me here in SC to walk outside with > 100-degree temps nearly every day. We do go to the gym, so any walking for exercise has to be done there. 🙂

I used to love watching the Monkees when I was a kid and the reruns were on. I don't know what I'm going to do with it getting so hot and me trying to go work in my library this week. Guess I need to find a gym that is a cheap enough fee that I won't feel bad if all I do is go use their treadmill. That way I can walk in the winter too. Thanks for visiting!
Congrats on meeting your walking goals! I have recently started listening to audiobooks in the car as well, and I really enjoy it. It makes my long drives more bearable!
Thanks for stopping by the The Local Muse
I don't have many long drives, but even a 15 minute drive and listening to the audiobook is fun I think. Thanks for stopping by!
CAPRICA! I can only remember watching the first few episodes, but I really liked it. And then, as usual, I got super behind and now here we are years later where I haven't even thought about it. I'm even worse at continuing TV shows than I am at continuing series.
I never watched it, didn't even know about it until someone told me it was like a book series I liked. And of course, it didn't last but one and a half seasons, so I should be able to get through it pretty quickly. Thanks for visiting!
I unfortunately haven't heard of most of the stuff you got, but I hope you enjoy all of them, books and movies both!
Thanks! And glad you stopped by!
Looks like you have plenty to watch and read. Some of those covers are really great. Hope you enjoy them all. Thanks for stopping by my Sunday Post.

Oh yeah, like most of us, I have a TBR list that I'll never finish, yet I keep adding to it Thanks for returning the stop!
You've kept really busy, Lisa! And your new books this week look really good!
I hope you'll find some books that can be used for the COYER scavenger hunt, it's fun to try to grab some extra 'points' while reading.
Have a great rest of the week and happy reading.
Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookviews
Yeah, I think the one I'm reading now, that I started with, even counts for one of the scavenger hunt books. Thanks for visiting!
I haven't read any of those books myself, but I hope you enjoy them. I wanted to watch Caprica but I only made it two episodes in before my to watch pile got out of hand and I had to dump some shows. I tried to catch up on Battlestar before I restarted Caprica but Netflix took it off before I could finish.
Hope you have a great week!
Dreams @ Once Upon A Dream Books
I know, I bought it, but have no idea when I'll get to it. Too much to read! Thanks for stopping by!
The Girl in Between and We Are Watching are both books we have in common! I hope we like them both ^^ And Armada, as far as reviews go, sounds like it is going to be just as good as Ready Player One. Enjoy it x
I've actually heard some mixed reviews on Armada. We'll see how it goes. Just realized I have a review of We ARe Watching due tomorrow! Have to get to reading!
