The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted  @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s
a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog,
showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is
coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here:

Last week on the blog:

Wow, four reviews in one week! Double my goal of two a week.  And it was so nice to be back to regular blogging, the A to Z Challenge was a bit exhausting.  There’s a few egalleys I should have got to last week, but since they don’t expire, I had to move on to those that did.  Hoping to get a lot of reading done this week!

This week on the blog:

  • Review:  5 to 1  by Holly Bodger
  • Book Blitz:  The Violet Hour by Andrea L. Wells
  • Waiting on Wednesday
  • Cover Characteristic
  • Top 10 Tuesday (maybe)
  • Possible Reviews:  Illusionarium by Heather Dixon, The Choosing by Rachelle Decker, and/or Ice Kissed (Kanin Chronicles #2) by Amanda Hocking

This week should be a little less busy outside of blogging.  I only work at the bookstore one weeknight.  I was supposed to be going to see Pitch Perfect Thursday night, but now don’t know if I will be.   So I hope to get some time at home to read and try to get caught up on my DVR TV shows.

My fit/walking goals:
I didn’t really get any walking done outside this past week thanks to all the rain we’ve been having.  Hoping to get more done this week. We’ll see what happens.  I did do one day of the Run Walk Run program, and I want to keep doing it.  See what it does.

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.
It is a way for us to share the new books we have collected.   Let’s just say that until I went to the Scholastic Book Warehouse sale yesterday, I had a pretty small stack.

Physical Books:

I had to buy the Barnes and Noble special edition copy of The Heir this week. The other five books are all from the Scholastic Warehouse sale.

E-galleys:

I’m so excited to see the first one, the sequel to The Curiosities by Maggie Stiefvater, Tessa Gratton, and Brenna Yovanoff!  The one by Jennifer Donnelly is another exciting one as I love her books.  I normally only really take YA books, but once in a while a memoir grabs me, and Felicia Day has been on some of my favorite shows, so I’m excited to read her book.

Free e-books:

I have read and enjoyed Jemima J, so had to get the first one.  The other two just sounded halfway good and for free I said why not!

    • I read an egalley of it, but when I saw it at the Scholastic Warehouse sale I knew I had to own my own copy. I like Roland Smith, so had to grab Beneath for cheap. Thanks for stopping by!

    • I got my normal amount of reading done, but would have like to got more. Can't wait for summer and hoping to do a lot of reading! Thanks for visiting!

  1. So many great books! I want to read The Heir though of course I have to read the whole series first! Catching up on DVR'd TV always sounds like a good plan to me. Hopefully you're able to get some relaxing in soon one way or another. Have a great week!

    • I loved The Selection series, hope you get to read them back to back! Can't wait for The Heir, just don't know when I'll have time to read it. Hoping to have a relaxing week, or more than last week anyway. Thanks for visiting!

  2. Oh my god I didn't even know there was a fourth Selection book. And I've never heard of the Stiefvater book, I have to get those!

Thanks for the visit on my blog 🙂

    • Yep, just came out! It is Prince Maxon and America's daughter. And the Stiefvater book is short stories from her and Tessa Gratton and Brenna Yovanoff. I have a copy of the first one, will want a copy of this one too at some point.

  3. A Scholastic Book Warehouse sale sounds like the most amazing thing in the world! Or the worst I guess, depending on how much you spend 😉 I really want to read Prisoner of Night and Fog and These Shallow Graves too. And one day, I will get around to starting Scarlet, I swear! Hope you enjoy the new books, and have a wonderful week 🙂

    • It is amazing, and dangerous. I told myself this time if I couldn't carry it in my arms than I wasn't getting it. To try to save money. But then I ended up going back and getting a cart and still spending $50. But if you spent $50, you got $10 off. So I spent $60 and got $10 off of that. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!

    • I didn't even show the books I got just for my school from the warehouse sale. And this is one that is in the actual warehouse, not at a school. It's incredible. Thanks for stopping by!

  4. You know how some covers just grab you? Well From a Distant Star is one of those for me. I'm off to read the blurb and check out its availability. I'm looking forward to seeing your review.
