The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted  @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s
a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog,
showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is
coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here:
Sunday Post Meme
.   I decided to do a Sunday post again this week since I’ve got the big A to Z challenge coming up this week!  And, unlike last week, I do have a HUGE amount of actual physical books, none that I had to pay money for, to share!

Last week on the blog:

Once again I got more than my planned number of reviews done this week!  Four!!!  Partly because I read some really great books this week!!  The last two especially were really good.  I also kept to my other goal of posting every day.

This week on the blog:

  • Review:  All the Rage by Courtney Summers
  • Review:  Insanity by Cameron Jace
  • Review:  Ask the Dark by Henry Turner
  • A to Z Challenge posts A-D
  • Maybe Cover Characteristic

As I explained in my A to Z Blogging Challenge Theme Reveal last week, for each letter I will be posting reviews of books I read before I started blogging.  Now, my reviews will be very short and may even just include a quick synopsis from Goodreads with the reasons I remember/liked the book so much.  I had planned to get a lot of those done over my spring break.  Let’s just say I only have A and B done already.  Good thing I have lots of time to do that this week!  (I hope).

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.
It is a way for us to share the new books we have collected.
As I mentioned at the beginning, this was a MAJOR haul week for me.  Here’s a picture that I had to take as I started at the pile on my coffee table all week just waiting to do this post.

Physical books:

Okay, let me talk about where each book came from.  Love, Fortunes, and Other Disasters by Kimberly Karalius and Kiss of Broken Glass by Madeleine Kuderick came from Aeicha at Word Spelunking.  I was very excited when the author of Wildalone, Krassi Zourkova sent me a message on Goodreads letting me know I hadn’t won the giveaway, but that she’d like to send me a copy of the book based on my heavy presence on Goodreads.  I am so excited to have a copy of that!  Can’t wait to fit it into my reading schedule.  I got an ARC of Undertow by Michael Buckley from the bookstore where I work part time.  Just walked in and it was sitting on the pile of ARCs for employees to take, so I grabbed it!  I was very excited when I won an ARC of the new Alex Flinn book, Mirrored, from a giveaway on Cynthia Leitich Smith’s blog, Cynsations.  From the publishers I got ARCs of Dream a Little Dream by Kerstin Gier (which I already read and loved), and Spinster:  Making a Life of One’s Own by Kate Bolick.  Finally, I traded on the YA Book Exchange for Evertrue by Brodi Ashton, so I can finally finish that series!

 E-books:

Awoken by Sarah Noffke was free on Amazon.  I got a free copy of The Torturer’s Daughter by participating in the YA Spring Fling Giveaway.

I was very good about not getting any new egalleys this week, so I guess that makes up for all the physical books I took in.

So, what does your upcoming week look like?  Did you add any books to your collection this week?

  1. It looks like you have lots of great reading ahead of you! I actually did pretty good on NetGalley this week but then I went and requested a bunch from Edelweiss which ruined all of my progress. Maybe they won't be approved and it won't be so bad. I really need to work on my self control when it comes to books. LOL! Have a great week!!!

    • I was so good, didn't see many on either Edelweiss or Netgalley that I HAD to have, so I was good. 🙂 Like you I have no self control usually. I mean, I check both of those sites daily for new books! Thanks for visiting!

    • Well, I also had a bad moment when I thought I was getting ahead, then realized I'd written the date of a review down wrong and so had to fit it in this week! Thanks for stopping by!

    • I was so excited when I found out I won a copy of it! Such a great author! Thanks for visiting and I'll be sure to stop by your blog as well since you left me a link!

  2. Look at all the goodies! You've got some great reading ahead of you. And congrats on your reviews, it always feels good to accomplish a bit more than your goal!

  3. That is exactly why I want to work at a bookstore! That is awesome. I won undertow …from Shelf Awareness, I think. I am really looking forward to it. You got a massive haul this week. Happy reading, my friend!

    • I like it, but it's so dangerous! I see all the pretties that I want so bad! We don't seem to get as many ARCs as I would like, but I try to keep my eyes open for them and get them before anyone else gets their hands on them. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!

  4. Lisa, love your blog! grabbed your button! 🙂

Good luck with your A-Z challenge! I'm soooo looking forward to read your posts! I'll also be checking "the torturer's daughter" 🙂

  5. I'm super jealous you got your hands on an ARC of Love Fortunes and Other Disasters! This was my WOW a couple weeks ago. Great haul!

    • I actually got it from a fellow blogger as a replacement for a prize I won back in October but it never arrived. Even though it wasn't her fault, it is the US Postal Service's fault, she offered to send me another book as a prize. So that's what I chose! Thanks for visiting!

  6. Bo

Well, I am a little jealous. I am really looking forward to Mirrored and Dream a Little Dream! I hope you enjoy all the books!
