Stacking the Shelves – February 15th, 2015

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.
It is a way for us to share the new books we have collected.  I’m trying not to hang my head in shame at how many books I got again this week.  It’s such an addiction!  I swear I’m really trying to stop!  But hey, books are books, and I love them!

Books purchased:

I had to order Daimon by Jennifer L. Armentrout when I saw it was only like $3.99.  I haven’t read that series yet, so since it is a prequel, it’s okay.  Then I’d heard that if you were a fan of The Big Bang Theory that you would enjoy The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion.  And when I saw it on our bargain displays at the bookstore, hardcover for $5.98, with my 30% employee discount, I couldn’t pass it up.

ARCs:

Ask the Dark by Henry Turner

E-galley for Blog Tour:

I also got an e-galley for Supervision by Alison Stine, which also does not have a cover yet.

E-galleys:

by
Scott Westerfeld

The first six I got from Edelweiss, there’s no cover for the Scott Westerfeld book yet though.  The last three I got from Netgalley.  And look at the pretty one that is first in the bottom row, I’m so excited to have been approved to read A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas.

I tried to sit down and make a list of getting through all my egalleys this week and figure out if I could stay on track, well let’s just say it didn’t look promising.  🙁  But I’m not giving up!  I am going to do my darndest!!

What did you add this week?

  1. We All Looked Up looks pretty good! I hope it turns out to be great. 🙂 I'm really curious about Zeroes because Scott Westerfeld is one of my favorite authors. I've heard amazing things about ACOTAR!

    Happy Reading!

    • That's what I thought. I'm glad to get the chance to be on that tour. Westerfeld is one of my favorites as well. Although I still need to read his last one that I got an ARC of at BEA last summer. Thanks for stopping by!

    • This will be my first book by Maas, and unlike the other series, this one sounds right up my alley. And you have got to get to that Armentrout book, it was so good! Thanks for stopping by!

  2. You are going to love The Rosie Project! I love the sequel as well, just not as much. And yes, if you adore Sheldon as much as I do, the Don will be easy to love as a character. Great haul!

    • Glad I grabbed it then! I do love Sheldon. I know he's pretty annoying to people, but honestly, there are some things I see in him that I do myself. Thanks for visiting!

  3. I have already order a copy of A Court of Thorns and Roses because I know my review calendar is full and I won't be able to fit it in until summer anyway. I am really excited to read it. Happy reading!

    • Since there is a while before it comes out, and it is one I'm very excited about, I will fit it in. Unfortunately that means there are some others I may have requested that I won't get to. Thanks for stopping by!

  4. No need to hang your head in shame, as who could resist all those awesome books! Hope you enjoy all your new books, and thanks for stopping by my blog. 🙂

  5. Anonymous

I loved The Rosie Project, there are some scenes in that book which made me laugh out loud.
I am really looking forward to A Court of Thorns and Roses. I think it sounds brilliant.
Will also have to find out more about the new Sophie Kinsella as well.

Hope you enjoy your new books 🙂

    • Oooh, glad to hear it made you laugh out loud, I always laugh at the Big Bang Theory, even episodes that I've seen a million times! The new Kinsella book is a YA, so should be interesting! Thanks for visiting!

  6. Sounds like you are having a pretty busy time this week! I had to stop doing Netgalley and cut the read and reviews from authors so I could tackle the books I bought myself! Thankfully the books are forgiving me for neglecting them! Enjoy your reading and thanks for visiting!

    • I need to really cut back on Netgalley and Edelweiss as well, but I can't seem to stop myself from checking it! Although I am trying to be better about only asking for books I know I want to read, or ones that are for later in the year, like summer or fall, since as a school librarian I have pretty much the whole summer to just read! 🙂 Thanks for returning the visit!

  7. I'm dying to get my hands on A Court of Thorns and Roses!Hope you enjoy all the books you got this week. Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting.Happy Reading!

    • I was so exited when I got approved for ACOTR. I would read it right this minute if I didn't have other books I needed to do first for reviews and tours! Thanks for returning the stop and comment!

  8. Oh you have to read Daimon and get into this world! You will love it! I am Team Seth. Never quite liked Aiden. Read the books! Keep in mind that the first two books and the prequel are a bit slow but once in the third book, everything starts picking up. I can't wait to read your thoughts on these books 😀 Enjoy the rest of your books too!

    • I read Daimon right after I posted this I think. The review should actually be up today! I'm sure I will love her books as I have loved every one that I have read so far. Thanks for stopping by!

  9. Great haul this week. I haven't read The Rosie Project either. I love Sophie Kinsella, she is my secret shame reading (lighthearted, no emotional commitment necessary). I am excited to read Ask The Dark. Have a great reading week!
