Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.
It is a way for us to share the new books we have collected. It’s my first STS post of 2015!
Received as Christmas Presents:

The first book I bought with a gift card I got for Christmas. I want to start cooking for myself again, and this is a cookbook I’ve wanted since last year. I love how easy the recipes are in this one, and they all sound so yummy. The 2nd book is one I’ve been told I should read for awhile. But I’d hoped my cousin or her boyfriend would get my name for our Christmas gift exchange because they know the author, so I’d kind of hoped to get an autographed copy. Oh well, I’m still hopeful to get to meet him sometime.

The first one is a book that I have read and loved the whole series. But when I went to loan this first one to a friend, I found I didn’t have it. So when I saw it at Half-Priced Books yesterday, for half price, I had to grab it. The 2nd one I also got at the same store. I’d seen it on other blogs a while back, and it was only $4.49, so I couldn’t pass up a hardcover book for that price.
Checked out from Library:

I actually went to the library looking for the first book in the Jennifer L. Armentrout series that I got the 2nd one of last week. But they didn’t have it, or hardly any of her books. So, I couldn’t leave empty handed. I had been interested in reading a book by Andrew Klavan so I checked it out, and also a couple students a few years ago suggested I try the Jodi Picoult book, so I went ahead and grabbed it as well. Now we’ll just have to see if I have time to fit them in to read.

Obviously I’m not really helping my COYER Challenge when I’m adding more of these e-books to my Nook. Oh well, they’re free!!
So that is what I added to my shelves this week, both real and virtual. How about you? What’s new on your bookshelves this week?
Great haul! I love slow cookers! They're so helpful, hope the book is useful!

I figure it has a lot of good buzz, so was totally worth the cost. 🙂
I remember when the Forster debut novel came out – I got a copy from the library and never read it 🙁 I hope you enjoy it – and all of your new books!
Thanks for visiting my blog! Have a fabulous week 🙂

I bought it, so it'll either get read, or sit on a shelf for a long time. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
I really, REALLY want to read City of a Thousand Dolls. It sounds like a perfect book for me. I need to prioritize that one. Nice haul, I hope you enjoy them! Thanks for stopping by Michelle's Minions!

Amazing haul! I have been thinking about starting a Jodi Picoult book, happy reading!
I'm not sure I would like a Jodi Picoult book, but my students said they thought I would based on other books I had told them I'd enjoyed. Thanks for stopping by!
Wow! Lots of books! City Of A Thousand Dolls sounds like it would be right up my alley, so I might have to check out that one.
I'm hoping it turns out as good as it sounds. Thanks for visiting!
Fun — I'm always looking for new crockpot recipes, especially in the winter. Let us know what's good!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Jen @ YA Romantics
I'll probably do more on the recipes on my Twitter account, but if I think of it, I'll try to post here too. Thanks for stopping by!
