Posted April 1, 2014 by Lisa Mandina in giveaway / 47 Comments

This Hop is sponsored by Kathy at I Am a Reader, Not a Writer.  And I decided it would be fun to do in honor of April Fool’s Day.  This time the giveaway will only be available to the United States, sorry about that.  But I’m going to give away a surprise box of books and I can’t afford to ship it internationally.  I’m giving away a box of 5 mystery YA books to one winner.  So just fill out the Rafflecopter below, then hop along to the other blogs participating in the Linky underneath the Rafflecopter.

  1. My friends played a prank on me once….she knew my locker combo and decided to move my ENTIRE locker into the empty locker next to mine. Needless to say…I was quite confused in the morning when I unlocked my locker and it was empty!

  2. I haven't but I know one of my friends that gets her kids just terrible every year. Her biggest one is Ranch dressing for toothpaste. ๐Ÿ˜›

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  3. I don't think I have done any pranks on anybody before. Thanks for the giveaway!! When I entered my Bloglovin name I was typping to fast and misspelled it and here is the right spelling Samantha Wallace. ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. When I was little I tried to scare my mom (who is afraid of snakes) by yelling "Mom! A snake!" in the house..but it didn't work too well because I was laughing while I yelled it ๐Ÿ˜›

  5. I've played many pranks on many people (family) but all in good fun. Last year I convinced my mother that her grandson (16) got his secret girlfriend pregnant. She believed me, of course lol. Thank you!

  6. The one I pulled today was so lame I'd rather forget it. I enjoy harmless pranks but think it's terrible when people lie about someone dying or pretend to be seriously hurt. Oh, and dangerous stuff like baby oil on the bathroom floor or scaring someone with a major phobia. That's not wise.

  7. No I havenโ€™t really done any April Foolโ€™s Day jokes for a long time. If I have it was so many years ago I wouldn't even remember them now. Thank you so much for a chance to win and for being a part of this fun and awesome blog hop!!

  8. Well i am not to big into that, but my husband is outa town for work so i told him while i was at the gym my purse was stolen and i had to cancle all the credit cards and bank was frozen so he had no money he was not happy lol

  9. Really juvenile ones in grade school telling people there was free ice cream in the cafeteria. Not so much in my older years.

  11. Yes, a girlfriend just lost her dog and she updated her Facebook profile saying she got a new one! I fell for it! I should have know if it was real she would have posted a pic!

  12. I don't play April Fool's pranks, and I've never been pranked by anyone (yet anyways) on April Fool's either. Don't know of anybody who likes to participate in April Fool's. To me it doesn't seem like it's possible to pull off a prank on that day since everyone knows what to expect lol. So it's kind of a wasted effort. I definitely enjoy an occasional prank throughout the year though, as long as it's harmless. ๐Ÿ™‚

  13. when i was younger I used to do the 'whats that on your chin and flick my finger when they look down' but I don't do any pranks now, i'm not a comdian.

  14. When I was younger my friends and I had a few sleepovers' worth of "prank wars" — my personal favorite was when I baked them all brownies, cut them in half and put a squirt of ketchup in the middle before putting them back together. The look on their faces was priceless!

  15. I have not played any jokes really but last year I did have a GREAT one played on me and practically all of the Derby community on Facebook ๐Ÿ™‚ One of my very good friends and fellow Derby girl Jeerleaders' fiance had proposed to her at the game for her birthday which was 3/30. So 2 days later her Derby girl sister announces on FB that SHE is getting married to her boyfriend. We were all like OMG!!!! 2 weddings and sisters ๐Ÿ™‚ They let it go on all day until telling us all we were punk'd LOL! It was hilarious ๐Ÿ™‚

  16. Many eons ago when we were not married very long I told my husband that I had a confession to make, that I had been seeing another and his name was Ben Gay and Arthur Ritis, lol

  17. I can't really fool anyone with pranks. I can't keep a straight face and I'm a terrible liar.. the only pranks that were pulled on me were from a few bloggers this year..

  18. I can't really remember but my twins thought it was funny to tell everyone there was a spider on the wall behind them this year:)

  19. I have, but it's been so very many years ago, I don't remember what they were. Most were juvenile pranks of the non-hurtful variety. We were pretty funny-stupid back then. Thankfully.

I don't usually play April fools jokes on people, but one time I put a rubber snake in the fridge. ~ Anastasia
