It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? (3)

Once again I find myself with a day that I’m not ready to post a review, so I’ll be joining in to this meme that is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.  For this we are supposed to spotlight the books we are reading, planning on reading, or just finished reading.  So here is my plan for the week:

This morning I started The Elite by Kiera Cass.  It is part of my list to read for my 2nd Annual September is for Sequels Challenge.  Hoping to get it finished by tomorrow night, Wednesday at the latest, so I can get back on track with my challenge.  These are the books I’m hoping to also read this week:

I have this as an e-galley from Edelweiss, and it also is on my sequels list.  One of my favorite series!!

While I did get this as an e-galley from Netgalley, I was lucky enough to get someone to trade with me on the YA Book Exchange so I could have my own copy!  Plus the author, Maggie Stiefvater, will be in my town next week, so I want to read it before she’s here!

And, I hope, that I can at least get this one started if not finished this week, also on my sequels list.  It is an e-galley I have from Netgalley.
What about you, what are you reading, and what do you plan to read this week?

  1. It looks like you have lots of good stuff to read. I'm waiting for my preorder of The Dream Theives, since I'm planning to read The Raven Boys soon. And Maggie is also coming to my city in October!

    • I'll also be getting an actual finished copy of The Dream Thieves, as it comes with my purchase of a "ticket" to see the author. That one I'll be donating probably to the library that I work in.

  2. My daughter really liked The Elite. Just finished The Dream Thieves and really enjoyed it. I met Maggie at a book signing two years ago. I loved it! Enjoy it. I just finished Siege and Storm. It was really good too.

    • I have a friend who says the Elite has gotten bad reviews, but I'm so far enjoying it. I've met Maggie twice now, I just love her! The Storm I have listed is not the same as Siege and Storm, this is the 3rd in another series that started with one called Swipe.

  3. The Elite was good but I kept on not knowing what rating to give it! Hope you enjoy it!

I'm so waiting for The Dream Thieves to arrive via the post, I'm so excited for it (it is also in my sequels challenge!).

I have two books started, The Chaos of Stars and All Is Fair (that one is in my sequels challenge too) and once I'm done with those I'll start the ARC of The Mephisto Mark.

    • I've heard some not so great reviews of The Elite, but I'm choosing not to read them and make up my own mind. I'm so glad you're participating in my sequels challenge, I wish I could get more people to sign up, but oh well!

    • So jealous! I love getting free books! I'm trying to do more reading, instead of letting myself play on the internet or just watch tv. Although last night I did let myself get caught up on Under the Dome. Thanks so much for stopping by!
