Wishlist Wednesday is a weekly meme, hosted at Pen to Paper Blog, in which we feature a book we can’t wait to get off of our wish list and onto our shelves! I normally participate in Waiting on Wednesday sponsored by Jill at Breaking the Spine, but the book I am talking about this week is one that isn’t a new book, not a new release. In fact, the book I’ve chosen this week is by an author that I feel like I’m way behind the bandwagon on and need to get going! Especially since everyone yesterday was going on about how this book is going to be a movie! So this week I’ve chosen Obsidian (Lux #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout. In case you are also behind with this author like I am, here is the blurb from Goodreads.com:
Starting over sucks.
When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I’d pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring…. until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.
And then he opened his mouth.
Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something…unexpected happens.
The hot alien living next door marks me.
You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon’s touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.
If I don’t kill him first, that is.
So, what book or books are on your wishlist this week?
Ooooh I really need to start on Armentrout's books myself, I have a few but never opened one. Terrible.
Hope you get it soon!
Thanks for stopping by!
I don't have any yet either! Need to get going. Thanks for stopping by as well.
I liked Obsidian and the second was even better. I hope you'll enjoy it!

Good to hear! Thanks for commenting!
I loved this series so far and am eagerly awaiting the next book which comes out soon. I didn't hear about a movie so that is really exciting.
Enjoy it! New follower!

I see it all over the place, and a woman I worked with loved them as well. I figure if a movie is coming out then it is the perfect time to pick it up. Well, when I get a hold of one. Thanks for stopping by and I'll return the favor.
YES! This is a must read book! Seriously, this series is amazing. Well all her books are amazing. I hope you get it soon!

That's what I keep hearing!! Thanks for stopping by, and I'll check out your WW too!
Don't worry, I'm so behind on this series too. I've seen the book floating around for a long time but something about the cover just never really drew me in. I'm also kind of funny about my alien books. But like you said, now that there's a movie, I guess I need to give this a shot!
Yeah, the cover doesn't grab me, and the books haven't actually been in stores for me to see and drool over. But now I guess I have more reason to give it a try. Thanks for stopping by!
I've read Obsidian, Onyx and Opal and am waiting on Origin . It took me 3 books before I actually loved this series lol. I have an attitude of rolling my eyes when it comes to YA books.
I love YA! But if it's not good, then I can't do it. Hmm. Well, I'll take your opinion into consideration as I read the first one, and know that it might be worth going on! Thanks for commenting.
I have heard so many good things about this series but I don't think I will ever read it. I just don't think it is for me.
New follower!
Yeah, I'm not sure about alien stories usually, but I think I will give it a try at some point. Thanks for stopping by, and glad you're following.
Oh I really want this book too! It sounds great. Thank you for stopping by
Thanks for returning the favor!
I was wondering why this title sounded familiar-I've seen it around the blogosphere and heard good things but haven't picked them up for myself yet.
I know, I hear about them all the time, just need to get around to it!
Brilliant review. I agree with most of what you said
I also did a review but keep in mind this was one of my first reviews so it's not all that great.
