Waiting on Wednesday – Soul Screamers Vol. 2 by Rachel Vincent

July 11, 2012 Uncategorized 18

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, where we spotlight upcoming releases that we’re eagerly awaiting.

My choice this week is based on the books that I just finished and reviewed this week.  I’m ready to go on in the Soul Screamers series, but I don’t want to buy all the books separate, especially when the covers of the compilations are so beautiful!  So I’m going to wait till November when this comes out to buy it, although I may have to read the stories inside by checking them out from the library before then.  This second volume will contain:  #3-My Soul to Keep, #3.5-Reaper, and #4-My Soul to Steal.  I just love this series, the moment I pick it up I’m immediately sucked back in.  Some series if I don’t read them right away it might take a bit to get back into, but not these!

I feel like this is such a short post this week since I didn’t describe each of the stories within the book, but that’s okay I guess.  So tell me, what are you waiting on this week?

I've only read the first in this series, and I enjoyed it – so I bet this volume will be a great read. Nice pick!

I have these books, but haven't read them yet. I am going to have to have a Soul Screamers Marathon. Nice WoW pick. I wanted to get the first one at BEA, but wasn't able to. I did, however, get a copy of Before I Wake signed by Rachel Vincent, so all in all, a nice consolation prize. 🙂

Yeah, if I had all the books right now, I think I'd forget all the other things I have stacked up to read and just zoom through them!! I had the same thing happen at BEA! But I already had the first volume, so it was kind of luck to get a copy of Before I Wake autographed since I didn't have that one.

I didn't know that they were releasing this series in volumes now. I've only read the first one, so this will make my life quite a bit easier. Great pick!

Yeah, I see the covers of the originals, and I don't like them quite as much as the covers of the volumes, so I'm going to buy them I think.

I read ahead on the summaries of the books in the series, and even though I got a bit of a spoiler from them, they only sound like they get better and better!

The cover is beautiful! I haven't had the pleasure to begin this series but with all the good stuff I'm hearing about I must pick it up.
    Great pick!

Isn't it horrible that we do still kind of judge books by their covers? I only picked up the first volume because it was so unique looking, which led me to reading them, and loving them!
