This is a new meme started by Lauren at Epilogue Review.
Today’s topic is E-book vs. Print Book
My answer: I used to think that I would never want to read e-books. I still don’t like to read things off of my computer, and will print things out that are very many pages to read. But I’ve always been a big technology person, and when the Barnes and Noble where I work started selling Nooks, it wasn’t long before I started drifting over to play with them, and soon bought one to try it out. I now love my Nook, but I have to admit there are very few books I actually paid anything for on my Nook. Most of what is there are free e-galleys from Netgalley. The ones I purchases are ones like the Twilight series, that I wanted to have available to me anywhere I went, or The Help, which was cheaper to buy an e-book of at the time, and I didn’t think I’d need a copy, and then there are a few bargain e-books, like the Trylle series by Amanda Hocking. I do still love a print book though. In fact, books that I like, even some I’ve read the e-galley of, if I loved them, I want to own the pretty shiny book on my bookshelf as well.
What about you? Do you prefer e-books or print books?

I like to buy my favorites in print form, too. I do enjoy opening a book to read sometimes.

That seems to be the consensus with most readers. Thanks for stopping by!
The thing with print books is you can always look at your collection proudly, while you don't feel the same with your ebooks collection (at least for me)…

So true, I love looking at my bookshelves and organizing them! Thanks for following!
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
I hope I get to see you too, but there will be so many people. I am actually a bit nervous.
Have you been to the BEA before?
I've never been to BEA before. So I've been annoying one of my managers at the bookstore where I work part time with questions about it. I can't wait!
I used to think I'd never get an e-reader, because I love print material …. but then, I went on a trip last year, and realized I'd never be able to lug enough books with me to keep me happy. So, I invested in a black and white Nook, and now mostly use it for travel, and for the e-ARCs that I receive for reviews. Nice to read your thoughts on this issue. 🙂
My thoughts exactly!!
I mostly have galley's on my e reader too, unless I find really good deals on Amazon. Sometimes I'm able to snag a book I have been wanting FOREVER for under $3. And I like the instant gratification thing as well:)
The instant gratification thing can get me in trouble sometimes. Since I usually get the free galleys on there, when I buy a book, it almost feels like it's free, when it's not.
I agree! I love both, but my kindle wins! I still buy my faves in print as well!
